THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome to the media center LIV Golf New York 2026 team champions Crushers GC. Guys, congratulations. Welcome back. Bryson, on a week where you may not be scoring where you want to, yet you've got the team competition going, you're still very much alive in the team competition, is that an example of what makes this format so unique and compelling?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Yeah, this is what makes team golf, I think, so much better than just personal individual golf because you've got something else to play for. Individual golf is always great. You always want to win. We've done this for our entire careers. But adding that little element -- I wouldn't say little, a big element of the team aspect where you're not just playing for yourself anymore. Like I might have been 6-, 7-, 8-over par going into the third round, but I'm like, I need to get this thing back to even par, not just for myself but for my team.

It's a bit disappointing and honestly embarrassing to be that far over considering the skill set and the playability that I know I have. But you've got to fight for every shot. It's a little different out here.

From a team aspect, yeah, this is what sets LIV Golf apart for sure.

Q. Paul, on the team side, you had the low round of the day. What about this course presents such a challenging test, not only for the casual golfer but certainly for some of the best in the world?

PAUL CASEY: I mean, its length is formidable, and the architecture requires you to take on shots on corners and challenge corners that if you don't pull that drive off and you get caught in the rough, there's literally no way of getting on the green.

I think, to be honest, a lot of people talk about when a golf course is wet, it's easier. I don't think that's the case with this golf course. The pin positions this week were put in places where the wet greens, the soft greens from the rain made it much more challenging to get it close and then the rough was very, very thick.

It's a combination of everything. This is, we know, a major-level golf course, and I think you could literally put the flags out tomorrow and you could play one here. It was that tough this week.

Q. Charles and Anirban, not the first time or the second time that the four of you have been up here together. You've spoken many times about the unique dynamic that the four of you have. For each of you, what does being part of the Crushers, being part of this team mean?

CHARLES HOWELL III: We've been together every single LIV event. I remember Baan's first event in Boston he loses in a playoff, almost wins the thing, and we've been off and running ever since. It's fantastic. We all know how we need to prepare and get ready. But we have a big responsibility to the other guys.

When you're not playing your best golf but still playing for a team is when you really have to figure a way to get things done. On a tough golf course like this, hats off to Paul, he played phenomenal. Baan was solid. But it's a great team win.

Q. Anirban, how you've seen the team evolve from the first event you played together as a team to where you are today?

ANIRBAN LAHIRI: A lot has happened in the first four years and five seasons. Bryson has come a long way from when we all started. He was coming off the hand injury, went through a lull, went on to win his second major. Paul was injured. Charles got injured as well.

The team has been through its own adversity, but I think we all love playing for each other. We love being Crushers.

I think when you get to a Sunday afternoon and we get in with a sniff, I think all our tails go up, like we really want to win pretty badly.

I think today was another good example of that. Even when you don't have your best, the moment you get a chance, I think all of us put that extra bit in, and that's the beauty of team golf.

I think the Crushers has been an example of how to do it well over the last five seasons.

Q. For any of the guys, this is your 11th team win in the regular season. It's more than anybody else. You're winning at a 20 percent clip. When you guys got together, would that have been realistic to think about that, four years ago when you first got together in Boston?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Yes.

Q. Why, Bryson?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: These guys are some of the most world-class players I've ever seen. When we built this team back in Boston in 2022, I said to numerous people, I was like, we legit could win every week if we just have our B+ to A games. We're not always going to, but I felt like if we had a few A games in there and a B game, we would win quite a bit.

It's just the truth. When golf courses get tougher, it seems like we shine more for some reason. It's just the wisdom that these guys have and the experience that they have and the capabilities they have is what sets our team apart.

PAUL CASEY: We've also won on all types of golf courses, whether it's a Hong Kong or a Bedminster. I think our games are pliable. We don't pigeonhole ourselves. We just play hard every single week, and we always give 100 percent.

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: That's the biggest part. We give 100 percent. I know everybody out there, all the teams give 100 percent as well in their own ways. But I think we dig for every single shot. There's not one single shot we just go out there and hit it. We give it our 100 percent every single time.

Q. Take us through the week, especially after the first round. You're 11-over as a team. You were tied for 11th. When you have a round like that and you're far back after day one, do you guys discuss it? What's the strategy? Are you like, it's too early yet?

ANIRBAN LAHIRI: I don't think we've ever discussed strategy. I think that's why this team works, because the four of us know what each of us needs to do to get the result that we need. To your point, I remember looking at the leaderboard on Thursday, and it was an unfamiliar position. I said, you know what, we've got our bad rounds out of the way, and this golf course is only going to get tougher, and I know we're all going to hunker down and fight tooth and nail.

I said, it might look like we're out of position, but on a tough golf course, I don't think we're ever out of position. I think if we have one good day as a team, we could go out and shoot 10-, 12-under, even on a golf course like this and we can catch anybody out there.

I personally believed that we were in with as good a chance as any, even after that disastrous first day.

Q. Bryson, you've battled Jon. You've battled Joaquín for the individual stuff the last few years. Can you just talk about those two, your battles with them, how much they've meant to you in terms of the competition?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Yeah, I played great for most of the LIV seasons, and Jon and Joaquín have just played better. It's one of those things that you can get hot, and Jon and Joaco have gotten hot numerous times and numerous years. It's been nearly impossible to catch them.

I've had three -- well, five top-3 finishes, maybe six now top-3 finishes this year, and I had no chance to beat him going into the last event with Jon this year. That just shows how incredibly consistent he's played, and albeit he's had some not-so-great weeks the past couple weeks, it just goes to show how quality the play is.

What Jon has done over the past few years here and how he was able to top 10 pretty much every single week, he did for quite some time, there's only been three times he finished outside the top 10, for how many events now has he played, four years and -- almost 50 events. That's crazy. I can't explain or describe that in any other way other than it's crazy what Jon has done out here.

It's hats off to him. Joaquín, the same thing. You see last year how many wins he had, and this year he's won twice now. Jon, myself and Joaquín, we've all won twice, and it just goes to show that that level of play is not easy to come by, and we're all striving for it. Everybody up here, we're all striving for it, and it's not easy to win out here.

Q. It looked like all four of you had sort of a lengthy spirited conversation with the president there after finishing out on the final green. Could you give us a sense for his message to you?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: He just congratulated us and said that was fantastic golf, and I told him how tough his golf course is. I got my butt kicked this week, that's for sure.

That was really all we talked about. Whenever we go to the properties, they've been great to us. The hospitality is amazing. They treat us well. All their staff is amazing.

All positive things to say, and we just appreciated it and thanked him. Then he said, great job and congratulations.

He was supportive of it, and then obviously supportive of Joaquín and how well he did on his golf course. He was really impressed with Joaquín, that's for sure.

Q. Bryson, unrelated, but since the announcement on Wednesday there's been reports that the investor or the loaner is BC Partners, which also has a stake or has lent money to your agency, GSC. There's been speculation. Were you aware of any of the mechanics of this deal in advance or was that total happenstance because GSC said they had no idea the deal was in the works, officially said that in a statement?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: Look, I love GSC. They've been with me my entire career. I think they've been fantastic in what they've done for me, so all positive things to say about GSC.

I don't know the mechanics of the conversations between the investor and GSC. What I can tell you is that the investor, from the conversations I've had, has a new and fresh vision on this product. It won't be changing too much, but it'll be changing in the right ways.

He sees the vision. He wants to pursue it even more than what we've previously done, and he's excited, from what I can tell. I think, again, if we're able to get the players all aligned, which I feel like it'll happen in some capacity, I think it'll happen, this is going to be a product that will be a force for good in the game, in the ecosystem.

I think there's a lot of potential that could be unlocked for the global game of golf, and we can support that. But I think the thing we've all talked about is how can we be a good force in the ecosystem. How can we work together to make the game of golf better. So I think that's what the lead investor -- I'm not going to speak for him, but from the conversations I've had, we all see that vision alongside Scott.

I hope that all of us players can see that and we can move forward in a really cool way and be a great force for good in the game of golf.

Q. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the PIF governor, was on-site today. Were you aware he was here? Do you have any sense for why he was on campus today?

BRYSON DeCHAMBEAU: I think we all found out last night that he was going to be out here. I think he needed to have some conversations with the president. That was a whole 'nother thing. I'm not going to get involved with that.

But it was great to see him out here. I think he's done wonders for us and the global game of golf. How it moves forward, I think there's a great place for the PIF and where they want to be moving forward. Where that is, I'm not exactly sure. I have no idea. But I know that he's supported golf for a long, long time, and as this transitions over hopefully into the new investor's hands and into the players' hands, and that's what it's going to be, in the players' hands, we really have an opportunity to align a lot of the global incentives to be a force for good for the game.

I know that's a lot of wordiness, but we want to bring value to anywhere and everywhere for the game of golf. That's our goal.
