BAILEY SHOEMAKER: Thanks.

Q. Dominant win seemed like. Obviously we can see the numbers on the card, but we can't see how you played out there. How would you assess your round?

BAILEY SHOEMAKER: It was pretty good. I was kind of cruising going into match play for sure. I wasn't trying to do anything special. No one ever wants to be a top seed anyway.

But, yeah, I wasn't making too many birdies out there. I just think only about four total in stroke play. That's all my dad told me to do. He's like, if you're going to win in match play you have to make a lot more birdies. So I said yes, sir, and I started off pretty hot, which was good.

But, you know, when match play comes around it's all about scoring and going pretty low. A course can change so much.

Q. You played in a few of these. When was the last time you won the round of 64 match and made it to the round of 32, and how does it feel to get that win today?

BAILEY SHOEMAKER: Yeah, my last U.S. Am. That was at Southern Hills. I couldn't play last year because of my injury.

But, yeah, it's great to be back. I love this tournament. I love the USGA and how perfectly everything is run.

So I just have so much fun at this tournament.

Q. And then obviously now you played couple rounds out on the course. Do you feel like this is a course that particularly suits your game? And if so, what about it suits your game?

BAILEY SHOEMAKER: Well, funny enough, I'm usually a cutter and this week I'm drawing it for some reason. I showed up here drawing it. Looking at the course now it's for a drawer, so it's kind of convenient. There is a lot of tee shots here that are so much better if you can draw it, a lot of pin positions and whatnot.

So kind of blessing in disguise for how I'm hitting it right now, but it's working.

Q. What are the plans for the rest of the afternoon? Get some rest? And how are you going to attack the round of 32?

BAILEY SHOEMAKER: Yeah, it's a little later than I thought it would be when I finished with the delay and starting a little bit later today. Go get some Chik-fil-A and watch a new X Men movie. I love the Avengers, I love X Men. I am a huge Marvel person, yeah.

Q. Seen the new Spiderman yesterday?

BAILEY SHOEMAKER: No, because I'm waiting to watch with my boyfriend because I'm a good girlfriend.
