Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Kylie Chong. 5-under par 67 today. Kylie, obviously a bit of a long day. Do you want to just talk about what was going into your mind just before the weather delay?
KYLIE CHONG: So coming into the round I did feel a little bit of pressure. I shot 3-over yesterday, and I knew the cut was going to be around that number. I saw a lot of the morning girls were playing pretty well, so I felt a little bit of pressure.
But I just acknowledged that that's a distraction and I also just told myself that I do really well under pressure.
So, yeah, I just tried to let to happen and like stay patient and make the best shot I can possibly make. Yeah, that was what I was doing before the delay.
Q. You definitely performed well under pressure today. What was going into your mind just during the weather delay?
KYLIE CHONG: During the weather delay I was trying not to look at the leaderboard. I didn't have my phone during that whole shelter in place, and then I had my phone by my side when we went into the clubhouse but I was just in the coloring table just like trying to occupy myself.
So I didn't look at the leaderboard at all, and so just to like keep myself present, and, yeah, it's all distractions anyway, so I was just going to keep trying my best.
Q. Heading into match play you have Beth Wu on the bag. Are you just super excited for the rest of the week?
KYLIE CHONG: Uh-huh, yeah, this is my first U.S. Am and so I'm really happy that I made the cut. I'm in a good spot right now and I love match play, and having Beth by my side, it kind of feels like Nationals again.
So, yeah, like we work really well together so I'm really excited for how it's going to turn out.
