Q. Sara, what a round, no? Up and down, exciting, and good result anyway, no?

SARA KOUSKOVA: Yeah. Well, first of all I think I'm covered in sand from top to bottom. No, it's been an incredible day. What a putting day today honestly. I don't think I ever putted so well throughout the week, through three putts still today, but so many birdie putts went in.

And, yeah, no, I'm very pumped about it. It was a great day. A little sad finish which will hurt probably for a little while, but still I'm really proud what we did out there today.

Q. What was going through your head until 16? Were you embracing what was happening?

SARA KOUSKOVA: No, it was just all the same process. Honestly up until the end. We haven't changed anything. I wasn't extremely nervous towards the end. It happens on links golf. We statistically had to find probably some trouble up there.

We had perfect holes up until 17 where the ball trickled into a bunker. My line was a little poorer than before and it just happened.

Yeah, it could have been a little better with a better putt for bogey, but, yeah.

And then, again, a little poorer line with my drive on 18, but I thought honestly it was a great drive. Just went into the bunker. But it can happen.

You probably switch off a little bit off your alert at points and that's where it can get you.

I think this happened a little bit. Yeah, it was a fast walk from 17 green to reset that quickly. I think I needed to -- I wasn't prepared for the wind at that moment I think. It was supposed to come from a different direction, what we played the days before.

Yeah, it was a great drive. Just went into the bunker. I was, yeah, fighting for bogey. But, no, it was a fantastic day still.

Q. Do you think today's round is proof of your potential, what you are capable of doing in golf?

SARA KOUSKOVA: I don't know. Hopefully. No, it's been great day. Throughout the week we had so many great shots, and, yeah, as I said, I'm really proud what work went into how much better we got.

Yeah, if this is the stage, it was phenomenal. I love the people. I love this tournament. Yeah, we'll see what the result brings, but I'm really happy overall.

Q. Incredible round out there. At what point did you start looking at the leaderboards and realizing, oh, my God I'm up there now?

SARA KOUSKOVA: I haven't looked at it still. I've seen the sneak peek when I signed my card, but I haven't really seen anything.

I wasn't looking at the score. I wasn't sure what I shot today. I just kept going.

Yeah, a little bummed about the finish, but still quite excited to look actually.

Q. Yeah. Were those nerves kicking in a lot on 17?

SARA KOUSKOVA: Not so much, no. We just stayed in the same process. It just -- yeah, it just happens, as I said. Links golf can be trouble sometimes, yeah.

Q. Even with the double bogey on 17 you're almost laughing still. I guess weird emotion from you.

SARA KOUSKOVA: It's just we tried our best in every single shot today, and there is nothing I could have done better today from myself. Obviously if I have probably practiced a little more maybe some things wouldn't happen.

As of now, I'm very satisfied what we did out there.

Q. And just one word on something you did at the start of the week. Reflecting on the activation we did on Tuesday. How did that set the tone for the week?

SARA KOUSKOVA: Well, on Tuesday we did very lovely thing with the red squirrels and protection of the red squirrel conservation, and we were actually painting some of the feeders for more research and seeing what could be done better for their protection.

And, yeah, I mean, I'm really excited about this stuff and learning more about conservation and sustainability so that was really great. Set a nice relaxing tone for Tuesday because I needed a little time off after Scotland. Yeah, enjoyed it.
