THE MODERATOR: We're joined by Nick Yelloly. His fourth career pole in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, first since Long Beach in April of this year. Looking for his fourth win. He'll be making his 37th start tomorrow.

Nick, congratulations. Obviously your team has been strong here the entire weekend so far. Pole position. What has it been about this place that seems to work so well for you guys? How do you convert it into a win tomorrow?

NICK YELLOLY: Yeah, I think going back since the inauguration of this car, it's always tended to be pretty fast here. I remember in '23 and '24 -- not '24 with this team, but in '24 with WTR, they were very fast here as well.

Clearly knew we would be competitive. We also tested here a few weeks ago. The car felt very good. Yeah, the track suits our car, I would say. I knew I had to put a good lap together. Obviously good in qualifying as well. Got us on the pole position. Managed to do that. Look forward to racing tomorrow.

THE MODERATOR: We'll go to questions.

Q. I wanted to ask you how confident were you in getting the pole with the change in the weather conditions between yesterday and today?

NICK YELLOLY: I wouldn't say you're ever super confident in getting the pole exactly. We knew we would be competitive. I thought if we could do a good lap, we would definitely be inside the top three or four.

We did a new tire run yesterday as well and had a good feeling with the car. We were also pretty fast and competitive in the wet. I just felt if I did my job and put the lap together well that we would be at the front.

Yeah, congrats to HRC and MSR for giving me the car to do so.

Q. You want to start a race out front. Talk about the difference in the race being three times as long as it normally is? How much of an advantage do you see that being starting at the front?

NICK YELLOLY: Yeah, I mean, it always means you hopefully stay out of the first-lap-or-two chaos. I'm happy to be at the front. It means you don't get caught up in any of the silliness on cold tires on the first few laps.

Yeah, I think it's always important to be at the front, to be honest, whether it's a two-hour race or a six-hour race.

Q. We know there's a countdown to the end of this program. With this program going 1-2 today, it's only qualifying, but what kind of a statement does this make, if any?

NICK YELLOLY: I think this year in general we've been really executing very well. Obviously we came back as a program at the start of last year. We knew on the 93 side everything and everyone was very, very new in terms of personnel, in terms of the car, to the drivers. We knew our second year we'd definitely be more competitive. It's just really nice to be able to show that.

It's unfortunate, yes, the program is coming to an end. I think if we stick to our guns, we can fight for the title in the final year of the program.
