Q. Yealimi, way to play golf today?
YEALIMI NOH: Thank you.
Q. Walk me through the highlights.
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, I had a little bit of a rough start a couple bogeys on the front nine. Actually a chip-in par save on the second, which was nice.
Yeah, I just fell out of tempo a little bit and then got it together for the back nine, and it was really solid. Had some good par saves.
Q. How much do those par saves maintain your momentum coming down the stretch or even playing your way around here?
YEALIMI NOH: For sure. They're everything. Even just, I don't know, even saving bogey or par. It's a big deal for the rest of the round to continue and then, yeah, thrive off that momentum.
Q. What have you learned from your previous experiences in contention that you'll carry -- and leading -- that you'll carry with you tomorrow?
YEALIMI NOH: Just with every round just try to focus on the present and not get too ahead of myself and just try to enjoy it as much as I can.
Q. You spoke about your husband giving you perspective on maybe enjoying the game a bit more. What does that look like?
YEALIMI NOH: To-be husband, but, yes. Yeah, he's been the best supporter, my biggest supporter besides my parents. I really wouldn't be able to do anything without him, especially out on the golf course.
You know, we're always so stressed, and whether it's going good or bad it's a lot with golfers. He's been really great supporter. He also plays golf and he's really good so he understands a lot of it.
Yeah, last week I was able to relax more. He reminded me that golf could be fun like I said yesterday, just that it's just a game. So he's really helped me be in a good mindset for this week.
Q. Does he do anything that makes you sort of appreciate how good you are?
YEALIMI NOH: When he tries to beat me, when he does beat me, yeah. I'm like, oh, shot, I got to step it up, so...
Q. Things he gets excited about that maybe you take for granted.
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, for sure. Whether it's nice golf courses, just being at The Open. He's like, you're going to the Open, you're playing The Open. I'm like, yeah. So just being more grateful for where I am and what I'm doing.
Q. Where did you guys play last week?
YEALIMI NOH: We actually played Sahalee, which is good practise for this week, avoiding all those trees. Helping me avoid these bunkers.
Q. If I would've told you that you would be leading a major after you left France, in that mindset that you had there, what would you say?
YEALIMI NOH: I would be optimistic but also like, I don't know, golf is just crazy. It's been making me realize it more and more. It only takes one round for your whole mindset and whole game to change.
Yeah, I had a really rough couple months. Not even just missing cuts, but just not playing good golf or rounds.
And Thursday I was just really happy to shoot under par and just really set me up for the week.
Q. How much were you pressing for Solheim Cup during that time?
YEALIMI NOH: I mean, I was trying not to think about it too much. I did a lot to get my points up there from last year.
It's always nice to play extra well before it.
Q. You said you feel (No microphone.) Able to think about that or like what you...
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, I mean, I want to imagine it so I can manifest it. I don't know, it's just another round of golf tomorrow and hopefully it all goes well and I can do all the things after.
Q. You big into manifestation?
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, I am. Sometimes it's hard to be positive, especially with golf. Like it can be really tough.
But manifestation is important I think.
Q. Is that like visualization then?
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah. You know, I can do as much of that as I can, but we can't predict anything or force anything. So I think just it helps me be in a positive mindset.
Q. Do you have any superstitions? Nice red clip or anything like that?
YEALIMI NOH: I will actually, just because of my outfit. No, not too many superstitions, no.
Q. Is your fiance here?
YEALIMI NOH: No, he's not. He's at home watching. Better be. (Laughter.)
Q. What will be your plans this evening? You said you've been enjoying Lytham.
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah.
Q. So will be you doing the same as this week?
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, I think I got a restaurant sorted the for tonight. I went there this morning. There is so much time before my tee time, especially getting up early.
Probably do the same thing tomorrow; just chill.
Q. That kind of business of hanging out, seems you enjoy travel. So do you enjoy that? Are you able to enjoy that aspect with the golf career?
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, yeah. For sure. I think for me it's like the best part and my favourite part of the travelling. It's a lot. When you think about it it gets kind of crazy and you get really tired.
Just going to new places, I love food, so just trying new restaurants. I was looking at the restaurants before I got here, so it's always fun for me to do that.
Q. Will your fiance be tempted to get a flight and get here?
YEALIMI NOH: No. He's doing his own thing right now. He's actually playing the club championship at his course. I don't know. I haven't talked to him yet about it. He's supporting from overseas.
Q. What's the club?
YEALIMI NOH: Snoqualmie Ridge in Seattle, yeah.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
YEALIMI NOH: I don't know actually, because the time difference I haven't been able to catch up.
Q. The west coast; getting up early.
YEALIMI NOH: He better be. I hope.
