Q. Soo Bin, let's talk about the round today. What went well for you today?

SOO BIN JOO: I mean, I never had a 3:20 tee time in my life. That was a weird and a fun start. I was really trying to focus on what I needed to do. I know it was going to be a long day, but thankfully I focused well and finished well.

Q. I mean, we know about your experience last year. This is big improvement, no?

SOO BIN JOO: Uh-huh. Yes, I'm having so much fun out here. It's a great golf course. It's so fun, yeah.

Q. How do you embrace the links and the conditions here, the wind how much the ball rolls, all this?

SOO BIN JOO: I'm trying to focus on every shot that I have and I'm trying to avoid every bunker as much as I can.

Q. Would you say this is your best performance in a major?

SOO BIN JOO: Yes, it is. I'm enjoying it and I think I know what I'm doing.

Q. What's happening for you to be playing like this?

SOO BIN JOO: What's happening? So it's really windy out there and it's like everything is like all over and I'm really trying to focus on my game, on myself. I'm trying to commit 100 percent on my shots every time.

Q. How comfortable are you where you are right now, in a position in contention for the weekend?

SOO BIN JOO: It's like I never been in this much in a higher position in major events, and I'm just trying to have as much fun as I can because having this pressure is such a fun thing.
