Q. Esther, round of 2-under today to be even heading into the weekend. Just talk is through the first two days here at Lytham.

ESTHER HENSELEIT: Yeah, very solid ball striking. I hit a lot of fairways and greens. Yeah, if I didn't, then I did have some bogeys, but I guess that's just how this course kind of works.

But, yeah, overall very happy. Holed some good putts today. Yeah, looking forward to the weekend.

Q. We spoke last week. Obviously you enjoy the challenge of links golf. You're comfortable on these golf courses. How does it differ here? Have you ever played here before?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: This is my first time here. Yeah, I really like it. You have to be very disciplined, and especially with the wind and some side winds on some holes you have to be, yeah, just thinking about every shot and how the ball is going to bounce a lot.

Yeah, as you said, I enjoy playing in the wind. It is definitely hard to make birdies out there, but you do get some chances on the shorter holes. Yeah, you just have to stay patient.

Q. Obviously such good finish in Scotland last week. How much momentum did that give you coming into this week?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: Yeah, I mean, it's always good playing good going into a major. And it is playing pretty similar. The turf is similar. It's bouncing a lot; windy.

So, yeah, definitely good to see that I can do good in these conditions. Yeah. Very happy with where my game is at the moment.

Q. Obviously spend a lot of time here in the UK and Reece being from England, so is there anyone out supporting you this week?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: Not yet actually. One of Reece's friends is caddieing for Sophia, so that has been fun. Yeah, I mean, I just feel like it's always such a good vibe at this tournament. Lots of people out watching as well.

So, yeah, the atmosphere is definitely great.
