AIG WOMEN'S OPEN

July 31, 2026

Yealimi Noh

Lancashire, England, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. Yealimi, great playing today.

YEALIMI NOH: Thank you.

Q. Talk us through your round and how you found it out there.

YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, it was a really solid round. Hit my driver well. Hit a lot of greens. Made some long putts, so that's always nice.

Struggled a little bit in the bunkers but just something to work on later.

Q. It's only 166 bunkers out there.

YEALIMI NOH: Yeah.

Q. Are tee shots daunting when you can just see bunker, bunker, bunker?

YEALIMI NOH: For sure, especially when you know it's going to roll out, too. A lot of them are in play with the course being so firm.

Q. Talk to us, what was the best part of your game today? What was a particular highlight?

YEALIMI NOH: I would say my ball striking, just staying in the fairways, avoiding those bunkers, and then putting was really solid as well.

Q. Obviously moved yourself into a really nice position on the leaderboard heading into the weekend. How are you feeling and what are you doing? What's the mindset from here?

YEALIMI NOH: Just really excited. Very grateful and happy to be in this position again. Yeah, I think just focusing on enjoying it out there, not so much my score. I mean, if I keep playing like this I'll enjoy it, so, yeah.

Q. How often have you encountered fairways as dry and fast running as these?

YEALIMI NOH: Oh, never really in the States. They're very firm. You can see they're very yellow. It's quite different. Only over here playing links golf.

Q. You didn't play Scotland last week, did you?

YEALIMI NOH: I did not.

Q. Did you play links golf last week at all?

YEALIMI NOH: No. I went back home to the States, which is actually my first time in a couple years, six or seven years. I heard it was really firm at Scotland, but I was at home.

Q. Even just thinking of links courses you've played in the past, would they have been as fast as this week?

YEALIMI NOH: I'm not sure. I feel like every year that we've played the AIG there has always been some weather; it's like a little bit softer.

Yeah, it's been a while since we played something really firm like this.

Q. Yeah. And then thinking about your form, you were playing quite nicely at the start of the season and then there's been a bit of a blip. What's been the explosion this week?

YEALIMI NOH: This week?

Q. Yeah.

YEALIMI NOH: I think just feeling a little bit better off the golf course and just less stress. But I put a new driver in the bag a couple weeks ago. I think it's really coming around. I completely changed my shot shape with the driver from the beginning of the year to now.

Q. Right.

YEALIMI NOH: I think it's really coming around together.

Q. Yeah. And are you using it very often today?

YEALIMI NOH: The driver? Actually, no, not really. Yeah, maybe only -- I know only three times on the front nine. A lot of hybrids. Never hit hybrid this much.

So, yeah.

Q. Is hybrid a club of yours that's a strength anyway?

YEALIMI NOH: I really don't use it that often actually, especially off the tee. Like I said, I've never used it this much. But it's been performing well.

Q. Yeah, just thinking about is this your first time in England? Have you played in England before?

YEALIMI NOH: England? I'm not sure.

Q. Looks like you've always played in Wales or Scotland?

YEALIMI NOH: Maybe, yeah. It's nice. I'm loving it.

Q. Yeah. What about where you're staying? I am always intrigued when Americans come to the British seaside. It's quite an intriguing prospect.

YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, it is.

Q. Where are you staying?

YEALIMI NOH: Like eight minutes from here. Lytham St Annes, right?

Q. Yeah. What do you make the British seaside?

YEALIMI NOH: I really like it. It's a lot better than I was expecting. I don't know what I was excepting, but it's a lot better. I'm really enjoying it. It's a nice little down you have town and lots to eat and see.

Q. When you say eat, are you going right to the British typical food?

YEALIMI NOH: Oh, no, but the restaurants are great, so...

Q. Final thing from me: I think I'm right you got engaged last year.

YEALIMI NOH: I did, yes.

Q. How do you feel that has impacted your happiness on the course? Is there a noticeable difference on the course?

YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, for sure. My fiance and I like to play a lot of golf together as well. He played a big role for me this week just being in a better mindset. He reminded me that golf can be fun. We played a lot of fun rounds up in Washington and he helped relax a lot more and get in a good mindset.
