Q. Great round out there today. Looked easy. Tell us about your round and how well it went.

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, today, felt so tough today because in the morning before the round is a little rain so I just think about it, oh, please God it's no rain today. Yeah, weather is pretty good. The wind is still hard, but, yeah, it's pretty good wind today.

And, yeah, my golf is pretty good. So I'm so happy to finish the birdie, yeah.

Q. Pretty good is probably an understatement. When you're out there and hitting those shots what are you seeing? What's your mentality? How are you able to shoot these numbers so consistently?

HAERAN RYU: Just this course, just think about it for the bunker and wind. That's it. Because this type of golf course is too hard to make some par on the -- inside the second shot bunker, so that's why I just always think about it's no bunker.

But today I hit couple times in the bunker, but it's pretty good save so I hopefully tomorrow is more stay in the fairway.

Q. Did you practise a lot of shots out of the fairway bunkers when you were prepping?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, I try it, but this course, these bunkers, it's impossible to hit green so always laying up.

Yeah, today a lot of great save inside bunker, so I'm so happy.

Q. Are you still feeling a lot of relief? What is the overriding feeling? You just look like you're -- it's just so refreshing to see how much -- oh, sorry. You just look like you're playing with so much confidence.

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, that's right, because before I got the major win it was so much pressure and I just for sure want to get win in a major.

So that's why hit it so hard on the golf course, but these days it's more calm and just thought about after the golf. So that's why, yeah, these days my golf is pretty good.

Q. "Free" is probably the word I was looking for.

HAERAN RYU: Yeah.

Q. You look free out there.

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, it's so feel free.

Q. When you went back to Korea, I know you spent time with your sponsors. Did you have time to yourself to decompress? Was it really hectic going from one thing to the next?

HAERAN RYU: No, a lot of schedule with my sponsor, but I'm so happy to I met my sponsors. But after that time I just go back to the driving range with my coach and hit couple shots, and I just want to think like -- we have a lot of tournaments right now so I just keep working with my coach after that, yeah.

Q. Is your mum here again?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, she's here.

Q. Nice to have her around?

HAERAN RYU: Yeah, I think these days she looks like feel free, too. No pressure for her. But, yeah, these days my mom is so happy with us.

Q. Obviously got a really good one right now. Is there anything you're doing differently this week that you haven't done in recent weeks or are you keeping everything kind of the same because it's going really well?

HAERAN RYU: No, keep same. Same as before months. Everything same.

Q. I know they're offering custom ball markers and yardage books and things, and I saw your caddie got something pretty poignant on his. What did you think about that? Did you rib him? Did you make fun of him? Or did you kind of laugh with him about that?

HAERAN RYU: No, no, that's my manager's idea. She ask me like, what kind of (indiscernible) on that, and I said just Martin. But she's like, two times major champion. Oh, that's a great idea. But I think he not using this week maybe.

Q. Are you allowing yourself to think about what it would be like to win three consecutive majors in three starts?

HAERAN RYU: No.

Q. No?

HAERAN RYU: No, because I felt so hard on this type course so that's why I'm not focus for the win. Just enjoy my golf and no stressful too much.

But today score is pretty good, but we have three more days and this is a major, so I just keep thinking about myself no win and keep enjoy on the golf course.

Q. Did you go in any fairway bunkers or just greenside?

HAERAN RYU: I think three times I'm inside the fairway bunker today, yeah.
