Q. 7-under par 63. Sum that one up from your point of view?

MATT GOGEL: The last two days, you had to hold your hat on. It was are you. It was windy but expect that, too. Today I thought the wind would be up 15 to 20 and it pretty much wasn't. We had a lot of rain to soften things and got off to a good start and then by the turn.

And certainly by 10, when I had a 2-putt birdie there, I was thinking, geez, we keep this thing going, we have a chance to get a high finish. Now it looks like I'm just, what, one off the lead and Jerry is such a consistent player, I don't see him coughing this one up at all. Stick around and see what happens but pleased with this round and I needed a good round today.

Q. Describe the pitch at last because most of us would went low with that one. You went high. Describe it.

MATT GOGEL: I locked up. It was a nice number. I think it was 59 yards where I wanted to land it, 64 to the hole and the grain was all into me. So I just knew I could hit the American-style shot which you don't he hit very often. I love hitting the ball on the ground. I don't spin the ball much.

Putting is kind of my strength, so I love playing over here, and this golf course really suited my game.

Q. Never say never in this game. Will you hang around and wait?

MATT GOGEL: I'll just go in the Dormy House a little bit and see what's going on the next 30, 40 minutes. Like I said, I don't think Jerry -- Piercy is having a rough day but we'll anything can happen. Hang around for a little bit.
