STEPHEN GALLACHER: Not often you come off the course disappointed you're shooting 62. Just one of the days where I played really well and gave myself plenty of chances. Holed a few putts and missed a few to be honest. Delighted to do it.

You know, you're pushing at the last. It was on the limit with the drive and I took it on. Hit a lovely shot in and just, you know, I think I would have been short. I think it's two or three short, anyway.

Q. You missed a short one and regrouped?

STEPHEN GALLACHER: Yeah, I misread a few coming in actually. I didn't feel as if I hit a bad putt when I missed a shot. It was outside the hole from two foot, three foot. Then holed the next one and the next.

Q. 62 any thoughts?

STEPHEN GALLACHER: You know, we'd been battered for three days. You need a respite when you stand in the practice area and there's 3 million an hour wind. And there's been a little bit of rain, so it's taken sort of the edge off the course. So you knew you could post a score but all you're trying to do is go as low as you can. I got off to a great start and kept going. Hit a lovely shot at 11, had a 3-footer and a 4-iron.

Could have birdied 14 and maybe eagled the last, maybe two shots. I'm not bothered by that.

Q. Best round of golf in a long time?

STEPHEN GALLACHER: Yeah, I've been playing well in fairness. I've played well kind of all year. My stroke average is under 70. So I'm posting better scores and playing good. These are the ones you want to play. The course is amazing. Great vibe of the whole place.

Q. The big frustration is now you have to wait till next year for another chance.

STEPHEN GALLACHER: That's golf, isn't it. I was too far back to be honest, 2-over. I've had 60 putts, you take them out, it's a slightly different story.

Q. Still a lot between now and year-end?

STEPHEN GALLACHER: Absolutely. Try and get as high up an the Order of Merit as I can and gives you more starts in America, simple as that.

Q. And to do it here, Gleneagles connection?

STEPHEN GALLACHER: I have such an affinity with Gleneagles, starting my pro career as an amateur, the Ryder Cup, shot 11-under around the other course. It's just a great place.
