Quick Quotes

Q. You've won at the Home of Golf. It's been a long time coming. Tell me all about it.

JENNY SHIN: Yeah, I wasn't as nervous as yesterday. Yeah, I feel like I've done everything wrong, just wasn't hitting it like I was the last three days and was hitting it into bunkers, bushes, and it wasn't fun. With the three bogeys in a row, I thought, Oh, boy, I don't know where this is going to go?

But yeah, I hung in there and so I'm quite proud of myself. Very happy.

Q. You picked up those three bogeys in a row, but again, we talked about it yesterday, that mental toughness to putt that behind and you really good par putt on 9 and kicked on from there and left them for dust.

JENNY SHIN: Yeah, we were actually getting timed for a while, and that help me quite a bit because I was very impatient the entire day. I just wanted to get it over with. The pace was just not moving. So when we got the warning, I was like, okay, go, go, go, and that helped me a lot.

Q. Did you ever think in the time since your last win, ten years ago, that it wasn't going top again or did you have that self-belief that one day you'll be back in the winner's circle?

JENNY SHIN: Yeah, my first win didn't really feel like a win at the time. I didn't feel like I deserved it. But this one definitely feels a lot different. This one feels like I earned it. I worked hard for it. I started working with my putting coach four years ago, and he asked me what my goal was. I said I needed to win before I retire.

So I had been wanting it so badly in the last four years. I'm very, very excited.

Q. You're freezing cold because you got covered in water but those celebrations showed what a popular win that was. What a lovely moment to share that on and in Scotland, that's the way to do it.

JENNY SHIN: Yeah, I was very grateful for everyone to be there. I'm so grateful. I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow.
