Quick Quotes

Q. Top ten this week, what's it been like? You recently announced your pregnancy online. How have you been feeling?

RYANN O'TOOLE: Definitely since announcing, I think once I got over that first trimester I felt much better. First try muster was no fun. Figure my sister has no problems; I got the nausea. Now that I'm past that, I feel back to normal. I might feel a little tired at the end of the day, not working out as hard as I usually would like to but I just want to listen to my body and take it as it comes.

Q. Looks like you had an awesome trip last week, I was very jealous of you. What was that like, before heading into this week, too, what did that do for you?

RYANN O'TOOLE: Being my 16th year on tour, I learned we travel to so many places and then we never get to enjoy when ear there. Like we go for work and typically I would have probably flown home and then flow back off and the body feels off. I said, you know what, screw this. I'm going to go and go on vacation and have fun and enjoy the off-week, and I was like, typically I'd never not take a whole week off and not practice and that was kind of weird.

But I felt like it was nice. I got to step away and completely not be involved. Like it wasn't like I was at home, should I go practice. I got to just enjoy Greece. So my wife and I got to explore, and that was run and relaxing. Going to Greece and not being able to enjoy the local beer and local wine many my oh could he knows wasn't as fun as I feel it could be but I still enjoyed it.

Q. So you didn't touch a club at all?

RYANN O'TOOLE: No. Evian Sunday was the last round, and then Monday here.

Q. What was going through your head coming into this weekend, too?

RYANN O'TOOLE: It was just I knew Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday was going to be get swing speed backup after a week of not swinging. I worked out and kept up strength that way. But you take a week off, I knew Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, was going to be get swing speed up and get comfortable again. But didn't go anywhere. And you add wind to the factor, you're not being as precise and as anal about a shot shape as you would when it's not blowing 20. But I think it just mentally was nice for me. I think at this point, you know it's not really going anywhere. Had my coach out here. You know, we did our typical work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, out Thursday. My caddie is like you struck it better this week than you have all year. I'm like, well, I'm not usually going to take a whole week off prior but I'm glad it didn't affect me.

Q. We saw all conditions this week. What was -- how do you think it's going to help you next week, already being here for a week?

RYANN O'TOOLE: Typically this course plays really soft and we go to The Open and it plays firm. At least this week, it's super firm, too, so it gave us a really good warmup to what we're going to get next week because I hear next week is even firmer. I think it just is nice to get back into the windy conditions. Get back into seeing the ball react to crazy wind and seeing the ball react on firm ground and playing out of fescue. Being able to see that and practice that is great and I think this is a great warmup to that.

I'm looking forward to next week and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I played it in 2018. So I've heard they have redone some stuff. I don't know what but it will be nice to see it again.

Q. Speaking of just continuing on, as you keep going on your pregnancy journey, what are you looking forward to most and how are you going to keep up with your body?

RYANN O'TOOLE: I'm looking forward to not feeling bloated and looking bloated. It was awkward, I was in a bathing suit last week and I'm in that weird stage and I'm ready for it to pop. I'm looking forward to that and I'm looking forward to feeling the baby kick and I'm looking forward to just experiencing that part. So I know it's coming and it's flying by way faster than I realized. But yeah, I'm curious to see. Like right now, probably going to plan to Hawai'i. That's my last event on the schedule. I'll be about six and-half months. That's where I'm looking. Who knows, maybe Tampa, CME, play it by ear.
