Q. How is your week this week first of all?

ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I mean, it's been solid. I've been playing really solid. I think I caught the worst end of the weather. Yesterday's morning was brutal and it was really hard Friday morning, too, but overall I'm happy with the week.

Q. And how hard is it to keep your mind on your golf when you have so much going on?

ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I mean, on Friday, I started warming up an hour earlier than I should have and I got to the range and realised there was no one on the range.

Yeah, that was the first time in my career in 17 years, so that maybe tells you what -- everything that's going on right now.

Q. What do you hope to see from next week? Is there anyone in particular you want to see show some form?

ANNA NORDQVIST: I would say like the players know the way to control your destiny is by playing well, and getting on the team through the rankings. I feel like there's a lot of different scenarios that can happen next week. So I'm not really sure what's going to happen.

But yeah, there's definitely going to be some excitement, especially being a lot more points next week. So yeah, I'm excited to see it unfold but I also am very excited to pick the team next Sunday so we can start focusing on the 12 players in the tournament ahead.

With everyone around, this always happens but it's a new position for me being captain and the amount of people talking or speculating and saying I said this or I said that. I think they you will are a little nosy, I don't know, trying to know it all. I'm not certain who the four I'm going to pick but yeah, I think I'm just more ready to be done with it so that I don't have to deal with all that around.

Q. They are nosy but excited?

ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, it's been really nice to see this year the players and the caddies. Took 11 girls down and it was nice to see -- been in the Solheim Cup bubble, basically, for the last 18 months intensely. It's approaching quickly but I've been working so hard on this since end of fall 2024, so I'm just really excited to see it come together and all the hard work that I'm putting in and hopefully players notice a difference.

Q. Was there a year you thought you weren't going to be chosen as a wildcard or anything?

ANNA NORDQVIST: No, I took the captaincy being content that I was going to play another one. I feel really good about my game, but I signed up to be the captain and I'm really proud to be captain, so that's what I'm going to be.
