Quick Quotes
Q. 3-over par through four. Obviously not off to the greatest of starts but to finish with 71 and battle back, how proud of the performance?
CAMERON PERCY: Very happy with the end. Struggled all day. I couldn't hit it. I couldn't chip it. I couldn't put it. Miss judging wind and pretty much did everything wrong. So finish birdie, pars, eagles, was very nice. So I'm not out of it anymore. So that's good.
Q. How deep were you having to dig, coming into that really tough stretch and those middle holes in the front nine, you're already 3-over par?
CAMERON PERCY: Yeah, I was trying -- normally into the wind, I could like pinch it ask get it to go through the wind and I can't do it this week. For some reason, the fairways -- spiny ball this week and it's going like this. I had to take three extra clubs instead of two, and at least I got them on green, which was nice. Took me a while to work that out, and then I misjudged the wind on the back nine, 12 and 13. 12 I thought I hit a good drive and had to chip it out, basically.
13, just a bad three-putt. Pretty happy.
Q. Opportunity for a career-defining win tomorrow, biggest win of your career. Your thoughts on that?
CAMERON PERCY: Yeah, definitely. Winning the British Open, normal British Open would be incredible. But at my age and with these guys I'm playing with to win a British Open here would be pretty cool.
