THE MODERATOR: Tyrrell Hatton, Legion XIII, welcome to the Media Center. 5-under 67 today; currently third entering Sunday. How did you feel about today's performance?

TYRRELL HATTON: I would say it was a pretty good score. The conditions were definitely tougher today with the wind being a bit stronger.

Naturally there was a little bit of disappointment in there as well. Obviously bogeyed on two of the par-5s and par on the other one, which isn't ideal.

There was a lot of good stuff today, and hopefully I can play well again tomorrow.

Q. When you're grouped with Lucas and the leader, is that helpful to know where he is, where the player at the top of the leaderboard is throughout the day in real time, or do you approach it where you've kind of got blinders on, and does it impact your approach?

TYRRELL HATTON: Obviously you know what score Lucas is on. You know that you need to make a lot of birdies to even catch up, but that's fine. We'll try and go out there tomorrow and make as many birdies as we can and try and put a bit more pressure on him.

He's proven that he's a great front-runner, and tomorrow is going to be a tough day.

Q. You're one of the crowd favorites out here. The crowd really showed out today. What's the fan support been like for you, especially out here in the UK?

TYRRELL HATTON: The crowd have been amazing. The first three days, it's always fun when you're playing at home and you have that support. Also, it's really nice to be at the top end of the leaderboard as well and enjoy being a part of the final groups and having the atmosphere coming down the last few holes. I've enjoyed that side of it for sure.

Q. Tyrrell, I think the wind is supposed to blow again tomorrow. I think there's a little chance of rain also. You made up two strokes today; five back. When it's windy, does that actually give the chasers any kind of advantage, or is it more of an advantage for the guy that's leading?

TYRRELL HATTON: I guess it all depends how Lucas starts tomorrow really. See if he starts off really well. Then that definitely makes it a much tougher job. Then if he -- the opposite way, if he doesn't get off to the start that he wants to and a few of the guys behind, we can make some birdies, then obviously the gap closes fairly quickly.

It's quite quirky out there, so it's easy to get a little bit unlucky with some of the slopes. And you don't really have to do too much wrong to drop shots.

Yeah, we'll see how it goes. Either way, I think just focusing on my side, just trying to play another good round of golf, whatever the weather.

Q. You mentioned the par-5s. The 10th was the second-most difficult hole today, and you've been -- you had an eagle in round 1. You had a birdie yesterday, obviously a bogey today. What was it about today with the 10th, in terms of making it so hard?

TYRRELL HATTON: Well, I mean -- well, me and Bryson have hit good tee shots, and you still can't see where you're going. The last two days you've been able to reach in two.

Today I can't imagine anyone got close. Yes, it's difficult when you've got a blind shot, you hit the fairway on a par-5, and then you've got a blind second shot, which is not ideal.

Personally, I think it's an awful hole. It would be interesting if you did a poll with all the players if they thought it was a good hole or not. I guarantee you not a single one would actually agree it would be a good hole.

They probably should have moved the tee forward today to be honest. I know that they wanted to, but they were told not to. So make of that what you will.

Q. And speaking of the English crowd, has there been anything that brought a smile to your face that you heard in the galleries these past three days?

TYRRELL HATTON: I mean, probably it's very recent. There's guys walking around today with these shirts on with my face on, which was tragic, but it's also quite amusing. That's obviously at the forefront of my mind when you're asking that question now. I've literally just seen them walking off 18.

Yeah, we had a picture, but yeah, that was pretty scary, scary visual.

Q. Do you want one? Do you want a shirt?

TYRRELL HATTON: No. I hope they never see daylight again.

Q. Slightly broader question, if you don't mind. Tom McKibbin told me this week just how much he has learnt from playing with yourself and Jon on the same team. Can you just give me your opinion on Tom and the potential he has going forward?

TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, Tom's got a lot of potential. I played a lot of golf with him over the last 2 1/2 years, a lot of practice rounds together. Yeah, his long game is amazing. I love how neutral his ball flight is. It kind of looks like he's never going to hit a bad shot.

I know he gets frustrated with his putting at times. Yeah, I think once he settles down a little bit and chooses a putter and sticks with it, he'll be fine.

No, he's an amazing player. He's still so young. I expect him to win many times in the future.

Q. Just sticking to the Irish theme for one more question, please. The Irish Open's coming up in Doonbeg, a beautiful course, Trump International. How much are you looking forward to going back to Ireland and playing there?

TYRRELL HATTON: I always like to play the Irish Open. It's great that it fits in the schedule this year. I look forward to playing there. I actually played there on a golf trip last year on our little Guinness golf tour. I mean, any time to go and drink Guinness for a week is not a bad excuse to go over.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, and I'll have to be on a diet before I do go there.
