Q. I'm with the man who seemed to just keep the momentum going. Herby, you got off to a bit of a shaky start. Can you maybe give us a bit of insight as to what was going through your mind after hole 10?

LUCAS HERBERT: Yeah, like you said, just a little bit of a shaky start. Just couldn't quite make yesterday happen again today.

I think, if you hadn't have played that round yesterday, you wouldn't have been too upset, concerned with it. When you were 7-under through 10 the day before and then you're trying to hole a 10-footer to stay 1-under 10, it feels like you're playing a lot worse.

So I just try to keep perspective on it. I still played decent. After 10 I wasn't leading the tournament, but other than that, for the most part of the day, I was leading the tournament. We were still a long way in front of the rest of the field. I just wanted to make sure I didn't lose sight of that.

You talk about momentum, I was able to build momentum on the back nine rather than every time I have a birdie, I tend to shoot myself in the foot on that front side.

Q. You make a long list of changes to your equipment this week. How difficult is it to trust in all that changes under pressure?

LUCAS HERBERT: It's tricky in a way, but it's also the things I've been looking for with the equipment are all there. So it's kind of -- yeah, it takes a bit of trust, but it is easy to trust it because you come off playing -- I come off playing the U.S. Open where I felt like the golf ball was spinning too much. So I've done a lot of work to try to get that down.

The shot I hit into 4 was an example of like one where in the past I would have really tried to fly it back down. Now I'm happy and more comfortable hitting that up in the air. I think that was a good example right there. I was able to trust hitting it up in the air and knowing it was going to get through the wind pretty well, and it gave me a good look at birdie.

Q. Finally, the gap between you and third place is a large one. Is it going to feel like a two-man race heading into the weekend?

LUCAS HERBERT: Yeah. Well, I mean, right now it is, but I think Bryson will have a bit of a job to do to make sure that it is a two-horse race.

I've seen this happen before where it feels like there's only two of us in the tournament and everyone kind of gets caught up in that story and other guys come back in. I can think of Anthony Kim winning in Adelaide earlier this year when everyone thought it was the Bryson and Jon show there on Sunday.

We're only halfway. We have a lot of golf to go, but I know I would love to make it a two-horse race with Bryson on Sunday or maybe a one-horse race if I can.
