Q. Legion has won, obviously, the first two times you guys have come here. You obviously were in contention in '24. What is it about this course that you feel like suits the entire team and yourself personally?

TYRRELL HATTON: Well, I think across us four players, it's not really too many weaknesses, so most courses we go to, if we play well, we'll give ourselves a chance of winning.

For me, I don't really know. I don't necessarily plot my way around golf courses. I just kind of see where I hit the shot and then just go from there.

But yeah, we had a decent result in 2024, not so good last year, so hopefully play well this year.

Q. You celebrate a lot of team victories; is there more of a celebration in England from your perspective?

TYRRELL HATTON: It wouldn't be a bigger celebration. I've seen how Caleb can hold champagne, and yeah, there's one less person -- well, before he wouldn't hold it, so you could -- whereas now he can kind of keep it back. Everybody gets pretty drenched in champagne. It's good fun when we're up there. Anytime you win, it's good.

Q. I know you probably haven't gotten out in the practice round yet today, but the 6th hole is now a par-5.

TYRRELL HATTON: Oh, is it? Have they moved the tee --

TYRRELL HATTON: The tee is at the back, okay. Does that mean it plays at 71?

Q. No, it plays at 72.

TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I mean, I think it will probably make the hole play a little bit better. I mean, it'll probably be another birdie opportunity, so if that helps scoring, it will be a little bit more exciting for people watching. I'll see how it is when I get out there this afternoon.

Q. Do you feel like the 6th hole cost you in '24, the title?

TYRRELL HATTON: I made double there on Sunday, didn't I. Yeah. I was actually saying it to the guys yesterday because we had the caddie comp, and they were in a similar position to where I hit my tee shot, and I made a comment how I looked up and I'd lost where the flag was, and instead of backing off I just hit it and ended up pulling it way left into the rough. Obviously got a few laughs from everyone, seeing how far left I actually was. We can laugh about it now.

Q. Major season just finished; you had two top 10s, including your career best at the Masters, a T3. How would you sum up the 2026 major season from your perspective?

TYRRELL HATTON: Probably inconsistent would be the best word. Obviously it ended up being a great week at the Masters. Missing the cut at the PGA was not great. Then had a decent result, T7 at U.S. Open, and then was in a decent position going into the weekend at The Open and didn't play particularly well, and a few unfortunate breaks just kind of compounded the errors that I was making anyway.

Yeah, that was a pretty miserable weekend in the end. Unfortunately made it another disappointing major.

Q. Do you feel like, though, that you're getting closer, whether it's a huge step or just kind of minor steps, that you're getting closer to knocking that door down and getting that major win?

TYRRELL HATTON: Well, going off my most recent performance, no, it feels further away than ever. Yeah, I mean, realistically, in all the majors I've played, there's only been one major where I've really had a chance to win on the back nine, and it didn't go my way that day.

But I know that if I play good enough, then I will be around those positions to give myself another chance. We'll try again next year and see how we go.

Q. Obviously you won our last LIV event in Andalucía. That was your 14th career win. I'm wondering, when you turned pro 15 years ago and somebody had said you'll win 14 times before you turn 35, what would your thought have been? Would you have said, great?

TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I mean, if you had told me the tournaments that I'd go on to win, I'd probably be a bit surprised. So yeah, the kid inside of me, playing on the last four Ryder Cup, is surreal, to be honest. But I'm proud of those achievements. Obviously I'd like to win a few more times before my career is over.

Q. Obviously a few of those wins have been here in your home country. What would you consider your most memorable single moment about being a professional golfer in England?

TYRRELL HATTON: I don't know if there's, like, one moment that really stands out, to be honest. I mean, anytime you're playing in front of your home fans, it's always special. Certainly over the last number of years, the support that I've received has kind of grown, and that's been really nice. I appreciate that not many people like how I play golf or how my attitude is. But there's obviously a few people that, I guess, find it amusing at times.

But yeah, their support, that's always great.

Q. Don't you think people identify with you because you wear your emotions on your sleeve? Isn't that part of the appeal?

TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I guess I'm too honest for my own good at times. Yeah, people enjoy that. Some people don't. But it's not going to change how I play. I just do me.

Q. Your captain is on the verge of wrapping up his third individual title. What's it been like these two, three years now being close to him, being on the same team, watching him, especially his consistency week to week?

TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, over the last two years, no doubt me and Jon have gotten a lot closer, and yeah, just seeing how hard he works on a day-to-day basis, the level that he operates at week in, week out is unbelievable. And yeah, he's fully deserved to win what he's done the last few years.

Pretty sure that he's going to go and win it again this year. He's a tough person to beat over a week, let alone a year.

Q. Is there one thing you've learned about him since joining LIV that you didn't know before?

TYRRELL HATTON: I don't know. I think naturally as you spend more time just getting to know them better, I mean, standing here now I can't think if there's one particular thing, but it's been fun to -- we've had some good moments and had some funny times over the last few years. Yeah, we enjoy each other's company.
