Q. Talk about being here this week, and your thoughts of the course?

HANNAH GREEN: I've played nine this morning and I played nine yesterday afternoon. I haven't been here since 2022. So it's definitely playing a lot firmer.

Obviously the entire Europe and UK has just had a lot of cold weather, so it's to be expected that it's a bit more dried out. Course is looking really nice. Greens are a good pace. I feel like a lot of us players struggle to play links golf because the greens are typically soft and I think they are actually running pretty well. That's always nice.

But it's going to be hard because the forecast is saying wind, and you never really know what's going to happen. You have to bring your rain gear ask hope that it doesn't rain. I've got a nice pairing the first two rounds. Don't know if there's going to be one side of the draw that's better than the other.

I think that's too hard to tell until Friday night but nice to be back in Scotland.

Q. What are some key things to keep in mind playing links golf?

HANNAH GREEN: I think just that you're going to be expected to hit some high shots as well as some low shots into the wind. I'm fortunate that my coach is here. Nice to have him on the range as it's been a long time since I've played links golf.

This morning, there wasn't a breath of wind but this afternoon there's some gusts. Hitting balls left-to-right on the range is never really that much fun for a right-handed golfer, so that he can see what I've been trying to do.

Q. Anything from Ryan's approach last week at the Open that he can pass along to you?

HANNAH GREEN: For the guys, it's been super -- there's a couple drops where I don't know if it's been a different direction or not as strong, but feels like I have the option to not always hit driver here which is nice.

I do feel like I hit it further than I did back in 2022, seeing holes whether it's worth hitting driver; that's the thing we've been working on. And with how firm these fairways are compared to what I experienced in 2022, and actually having to worry about run outs versus carries, I guess, in a sense.

Q. You mentioned not being here since 2022 --

HANNAH GREEN: I have not had a good track record in the AIG the last three or four years, and I do think that comes to not playing the week before and experiencing links golf as much.

So yeah, it's something that I was conscious about this year, and it was nice -- last year I did go to, the year before we played at St Andrews and I wanted to get there earlier. It's just purely been a decision because where we also are traveling to next week, it's also a little bit easier to get to.

I don't think a lot of people know by my mom is from Scotland, she's from a place about 45 minutes or an hour north of Aberdeen. I don't know if any family will come down but I do have Scottish heritage. It is an important tournament to me this week. I've been fortunate to win my home open in Australia this year and come off a really successful year. To be able to win The Scottish Open would be big.

Q. Is Nelly a needle mover?

HANNAH GREEN: A hundred percent. I saw the pairings -- she and those three are the players that are probably the hottest in women's golf at the at the moment.

But yeah, Nelly is definitely the needle mover. I played with her at the U.S. Open this year, and Riviera is a great venue, but she's the one that draws the young girls, especially. She's a really nice person and an extremely good player.

She just makes golf look very easy, and even when she's not having a good day it still doesn't look that bad. She's obviously playing great golf right now and she's going to be hard to beat this week.

I feel like there's always players -- even when she's perhaps not playing her best, she still has people out supporting her. It's very understandable as to why you would want to watch her.

Q. How exciting was it to watch Ryan?

HANNAH GREEN: When we were watching from when he made the good bogey on the par three, I guess he putted well that particular day, but when the putt went in, obviously he was unsure when it went in and obviously celebration. Everyone is super proud of him.

A shame that he didn't have his family with him. I don't think we've formally met but seems like everyone on tour is really happy for him. Seems like a really good guy.

Q. (On caddie this week.)

HANNAH GREEN: Dave is back on the bag. I guess the time we played when Dave was back on the bag, I missed the weekend and then the following week -- so it was special, too -- yes, Dave is bag on the bag.

Q. Is your husband traveling with you?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, he has been. He's actually down in London playing some golf with Stephanie Kyriacou. They are having a bit of fun. Since he's had a taste of caddie life, it's been hard to come on the other side of the ropes. The Australia season doesn't start until October, and he's trying to keep his game sharp.
