Q. Jordan, your thoughts on the round today?
JORDAN SMITH: I'm very happy. Very happy with the way I finished there. Again, not easy. Not easy.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun out there playing in front of that sort of crowd, playing with Rory. Yeah, so very special, and I enjoyed it.
Q. It's a bigger focus when you're playing with one of the massive stars of the game there. The crowds have gotten behind everybody but obviously Rory is a favourite?
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, exactly, he's always going to be a favourite. It was nice to hear my shame shouted a couple of times. A lot of "Rorys." No, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it. Golf was a bit of a shaky start but just down to bad swings, nothing else. No, happy with how it finished.
Q. Were some of the pin positions particularly tricky?
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, there's a knew that you need to be careful of with runoffs and little knuckles next to them. Yeah, and the greens, a couple of the newer ones are getting a little bit crispier, drying out. We'll see what it's like for the afternoon guys, but yeah, very happy.
Q. Did the wind get up a little bit?
JORDAN SMITH: A little bit, yeah. Enough to really think about, and made it tricky for a few shots. But yeah, I think the main thing is just how firm it is. It's trying to manage sort of where you land it with the wind and the firmness.
Q. How do you reflect on the whole experience of the Open this time?
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, I've loved it. I've loved it. I always love it. Would have been nice to have been a couple of shots better, but you can always say that. Just happy with how sort of mentally we stuck at it. A couple of times the rounds got a little bit away from us and it could have ended badly but we fought back nicely on a couple of rounds, so happy overall.
Q. Tell us what's coming up for you now.
JORDAN SMITH: Busy. Got to get a flight tomorrow from Heathrow back to America and then I've got three weeks there to play and try and get into the playoffs and then see where we're at after those three weeks.
Q. A big three weeks. The playoffs are huge, aren't they, with the FedEx.
JORDAN SMITH: Yeah, exactly. We're just outside the top 70 at the moment. Yeah, try and force our way into the top 70 or top 50 and even maybe top 30. Yeah, we'll see after those three events and then see where we're at.
