Q. Tough day for you. How do you look back on it?

LAURIE CANTER: It was a tough day. Just going to be the most straightforward morning that you could play links golf, and I couldn't really hit my hat, to be honest. Just happy to get in.

Q. What now, you just get away from the course and forget about it until tomorrow? Do you go and work on things? What do you do?

LAURIE CANTER: I was trying to figure out where it went wrong. I was out there with my caddie and my coach just asking if they saw anything.

Yeah, I think that's links golf a little bit. When you're not hitting it well, you're chasing your tail all day, get put in some pretty funky spots that make it tough to score. Then you're trying to play catch-up.

There was obviously such a low score out there if you could hit the ball well this morning. Unfortunately, I couldn't.
