Quick Quotes
Q. Congrats on a very exciting two matches today. Can you talk about your game and what was working for you out there?
MACIE RASMUSSEN: I hit my driver pretty good today. I missed one right on 10 that cost me, but I was hitting a lot of good drives, a lot of good approaches, and made some good putts.
Q. Your first match, you were facing a big deficit. Then in your second match, you let go of the lead. Can you talk about the swings of match play and how you kind of managed that?
MACIE RASMUSSEN: The first match, I was 3-down after seven, so I had to make a big comeback. My second match I was 4-up after nine and kind of lost the lead. So it was kind of the opposite for both matches.
It's just crazy how match play, one second you're 4-up and the next second you're pretty much tied. I think that's the cool part about it because you can never let your guard down.
Q. Can you talk about your mindset when you're in the midst of one of those swings? How do you manage the momentum of it all?
MACIE RASMUSSEN: If the other person's making putts, I'm like, okay, that's a great putt. I'll just try my best to keep up with them. And if I'm making a mistake, then I try to get myself mentally back in it and, yeah, just see what happens.
Q. You made match play last year at the Girls' Junior. Do you feel like you learned anything from that experience last year as you came into this year?
MACIE RASMUSSEN: Last year I barely made it, so I played a really good competitor. I think kind of before the match I'd almost thought it's just a good experience, probably won't win.
This year I knew that I could win this year, so I wanted to put up a good fight.
Q. What's your mindset and your confidence level going into tomorrow?
MACIE RASMUSSEN: I'm feeling good about my game. I've been playing well, and I can't wait for tomorrow.
