THE 154TH OPEN

July 16, 2026

Keegan Bradley

Southport, Merseyside, England, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. I just wanted to ask you how you're liking this place and how it suits you, and just obviously you've played a bunch of these now. These things are always so changing and year to year different. Obviously this is kind of unique circumstances you've got with this heat and everything.

KEEGAN BRADLEY: I mean, I like it when they're like this because these are my favourites. This is when I've played my best in these is when it's not freezing cold. I love when they're like this.

It's definitely a challenge for me to play over here. I don't know, I haven't had the most success, but I like it when it's like this.

Q. What have you found in terms of what you do off the tee? Are you laying back? Are you trying to take the trouble out of play? Does that do you any good?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: I do a little bit of both. I feel as though if I can take out all the bunkers and I know the rough isn't that bad up where it is, I'd rather be there. These are like proper bunkers where you're lucky to get it out.

At the 10th hole, I'm going to hit driver every day, I get to put those out of play.

Q. You can get up close on 10, right?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, a few of them. Especially different wind directions, some of these holes can be drivable or get it up there.

If I'm comfortable enough with the shot, I don't love to hit on these crazy lines, like I feel uncomfortable. So if I feel comfortable hitting driver, then I'll do it.

Q. How would you describe your year? How are you playing this year?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: Not that great, but it's been a challenging year. Coming off of last year and the Ryder Cup and everything, just trying to get back to normal.

I'm starting to feel better, but I'm in a unique position in my career where I'm trying to make the playoffs for the first time in my career. So it's kind of like in a weird way kind of fun.

Q. You mean because you're not assured of it?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, which is -- you know, it's annoying, but in a weird, like demented way, it's kind of fun that I have to go out and try to do it.

Q. Are you surprised that you did take a little while to try to get things figured out this year?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: Yeah, it was just -- I don't know, it's so tough coming off these Ryder Cups. Like I'm in, again, a unique position of a person that's going back out and supposed to be a premier, top player trying to win tournaments and trying to navigate that, but we're getting there.

Q. What have you got after this?

KEEGAN BRADLEY: I'm going to play definitely Detroit, and we'll reevaluate. I just added John Deere, played that, and then we'll see.

I mean, I'm exempt next year. It's not life or death like for some of the other guys.

Q. You want to give yourself a shot at these Signature Events again.

KEEGAN BRADLEY: I do. I showed a couple years ago I got into the BMW, last guy in, and had a chance to win the FedExCup. So that was fun.
