SI WOO KIM: I think putting has been really good, and I had one three-putt. So it was good. Driving well, and then I started a few holes not great.

Yeah, I ended up figuring it out. Soon feel better. Yeah, finished great.

Q. What do you do in these conditions, like the firmness, how much the ball is running?

SI WOO KIM: It's hard to off the tee, like some bunkers 280, sometimes I have to hit a 5-iron, sometimes I hit mini driver because of the wind. It's so hard to judge with like the distance and bunkers, but somehow I didn't get any bunkers, in the fairway bunker today. I was lucky. It makes it easier.

Q. Do you feel like you hit driver a lot less than normal on this course?

SI WOO KIM: Way less, yeah.

Q. Did you use it today?

SI WOO KIM: I think I used it a couple times, but mostly like irons and 5-wood and mini drivers.

Q. Do you like the challenge like this, or is it fun?

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I like it -- we've been playing the whole year like soft greens and soft fairways, but this is special once a year and good to experience. So I like it. I like to play.

Q. How much do you have to plan with your caddie? How much strategy do you need here? How much do you have to plan with your caddie and change your strategy here, do you think?

SI WOO KIM: I think he knows way better than me, so he helps me a lot. Sometimes I don't know what to do. He just tells me what to do, so it makes it easier.

It's still hard. Hard golf course, and the fairway is really tight. Even if you hit a 4-iron off the tee, you still don't know if it's going to bunker or what. Yeah, it's hard.
