Press Conference
A. FILS/R. Collignon
7-6, 6-1, 6-3
THE MODERATOR: Arthur, give us your thoughts on the match today.
ARTHUR FILS: Well, it was a nice match. First time in my life that I'm winning in three sets (smiling). Felt pretty good on the court. Short one, so I'm pretty happy.
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. How are you finding adapting your specific game style without so many matches under your belt?
ARTHUR FILS: I think my game is suiting grass pretty good, actually. I can play flat with the backhand, serving okay, and moving great. Of course, with the forehand it's always the question, should I spin more, should I spin less.
But I think I found today my game pretty good.
Q. When you're in the week run-up here, do you look to find the trickier players to practice against to get yourself a little bit ready, or do you like to play against people you know what to expect?
ARTHUR FILS: You want me to get crazy at the practice court (laughter)?
No, no, no. I practice with the guy I know usually. At that point, practice is not anymore very important. But you don't want to get -- I mean, I don't know, to practice with someone with a tricky game, then you start to think and your shot are not clean anymore.
Usually between matches we practice with hitting partner. We can do a little bit whatever we want. It's not getting on my nerves.
Q. Your next opponent is being decided right now. Have you been watching that match?
ARTHUR FILS: I just watched the tiebreak now. Crazy tiebreak. 18-16 for Berrettini. Unbelievable.
Well, whoever I'm playing, it's going to be a great match. I mean, if I'm playing Stan, it would be an honor for me. If I'm playing against Matteo, Matteo on grass, it's always very tricky (smiling).
But it's going to be nice. I don't really care who I'm going to play. I just want to play a nice match.
Q. Score prediction for tonight?
ARTHUR FILS: I think 3-1. You, what you think?
Q. I was going to go 2-nil.
ARTHUR FILS: Okay. Let's see. I think we're going to concede a goal - because we always do (smiling). But the strikers are too good.
