THE MODERATOR: Iga, nice, efficient win today. Feeling good on the court?

IGA SWIATEK: Yeah, for sure I'm happy with the way I played. I was pretty solid and focused and consistent throughout the whole match, which makes me happy.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Much smoother win compared to your first round. What helped you today?

IGA SWIATEK: I can't really compare these matches because obviously different opponents, different game styles.

I think today there was more rhythm. Taylor played much more tricky game. So sometimes it was harder to adjust to it.

Today I guess the conditions were the thing that you needed to be aware about. I felt like I was more efficient and more solid. I didn't do as many unforced errors. I used my momentum and the confidence to keep doing that till the end of the match. With Taylor, obviously in second set I dropped my level.

So different matches, different stories.

Q. Talk about your next opponent, Alex Eala. What do you make of her game on grass?

IGA SWIATEK: Well, I don't particularly know her game on grass. Obviously I can watch a little bit. I know how she plays because we played already.

She has a tricky game. I can assume that on grass it's even more tricky because of the surface. For sure, she's using her strengths, the change of rhythm and everything. I will prepare and I'll be ready.

But it will be a good challenge for me 'cause, yeah, she doesn't give that rhythm. I will need to be ready for different kinds of shots.

Q. You hit your forehand really well today. On court you said you felt really solid. How do you find I guess the balance between playing that solid style and adapting to grass where people tend to be more aggressive?

IGA SWIATEK: Yeah, but on the other hand, the grass has changed. It's not that only flat hitters will win here, because the ball also stays kind of long in the air after the bounce. It's not that it slides every time as it did like 10 years ago. I guess there's more space for topspin players to be solid and to have longer rallies. Obviously I don't mind that.

For me, the balance is basically between my decisions, because last months, most of matches that I lost I was playing too fast and too risky.

I feel like it's more about me than the surface or the conditions.

Q. You spoke last match about just kind of the whole ceremony of opening the court. Does that all go away when it's your second match?

IGA SWIATEK: A little bit, yes (smiling).

It was quite a lot. I know that also everybody around me was, like, preparing for this match. So everybody talked about it. I don't know. It seemed like the opening match, like everybody wanted to see it, as well. It was already a show, even though it was a first round only. It's quite unusual.

Today I felt like it was a normal day at the office. For sure it helped with, I don't know, the preparation and focus and everything.

Q. You spoke a little bit about what you're reading off the court in previous years. Can you share what's in your reading list this Wimbledon?

IGA SWIATEK: Sure. I never know English names, though. So it's basically Americana, yep. I'm, like, halfway through. Really nice. Pretty easy read. I like it.
