Quick Quotes
Q. A spot in The Open Championship, how pleased are you with today's work?
JOHNNY KEEFER: It means a lot. I played the first plea majors and going into this week, I wasn't in The Open. Not only a great result but also getting into The Open is just tons of fun.
Q. How much was that on your mind knowing that this is the last opportunity to get into the last major of the season?
JOHNNY KEEFER: You know, a little bit. Obviously it was there. I knew the position I was in.
But at the same time, I knew if I just stuck to my process and committed everything, regardless of the result, I was ready to, you know, hang my hat on that.
Q. Obviously we've had a multitude of conditions yesterday in probably the worst of what we had this week. What stands out as the biggest thing you learned this week that you can take into Royal Birkdale?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, I just think that continuing to play my game and be creative around links golf, I just think that the course will give you a lot of opportunities to get after it. But at the same time, you know, the weather and certain positions in the fairway -- weather, it can change really fast.
Just keep it in front of me and trying to commit to my process and my game, and yeah, just use my creativity to my advantage.
Q. Obviously your Open debut; I assume a debut for playing Royal Birkdale. You might have certain something. What are you most looking forward to about the week and the course?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Honestly just taking it all in. I've heard it's fantastic. Probably one of the best Open venues ever. So I'm just super excited for it. Super excited to play more links golf, and you know, enjoy the weather.
