Q. Through the first two rounds, you have 41 points.

STEPH CURRY: Today was wild. I birdied the first hole. I was 2-under through 3, and then some tee shot problems, got me in some wild places.

It's one of those rounds where I should have played way better, but super proud of being able to fight and hold on and even stay somewhat relevant, because it could have gone pretty bad pretty quick.

So one double, which was tough. But I kind of parred the course out after that. It is what it is.

Mardy and Joe, awesome playing with them. Mardy's eagle on 18, unbelievable shot. Big blow to the field. But excited for tomorrow to see if I can put some pressure on them.

Q. You mentioned you were 2-under through 3, didn't make a birdie past that. Was it the course playing hard or was it your swing? What do you think it was?

STEPH CURRY: I didn't give myself enough chances throughout the round. It was all tee shots. When I did, they were all great putts that were a ball outside or just a slight misread, those type of things. That's golf, right? It happens.

You've got to be able to get yourself in a position a lot more, and I didn't do that today.

Q. Despite all that, you're still within striking distance, will be in second to last group off. What do you have to do tomorrow to put yourself back into contention?

STEPH CURRY: Something miraculous, because you have to expect that Mardy and I think Joe and Annika are going to have a day. You kind of have to expect that.

I need like a career low round just to even have a chance, which is possible.

Q. Another drain on 18, maybe?

STEPH CURRY: Yeah, it's going to require maybe two eagles. You have to have a miraculous day.

Q. Where was your second eagle?

STEPH CURRY: 18 and 4. Those are good chances, but then you've got to sneak one in there and just kind of get going earlier. One a day is not going to get it done. Always fun to be in the shot on Sunday. Maybe on the back nine I can have a little bit of pressure. At this point, top three is kind of your goal.
