Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Brooke Henderson after her third round here at the Amundi Evian Championship. Great moving day for you. Let's start with talk about kind of those two eagle chip-ins you had. What were you seeing there? What was the execution?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, definitely a bonus to be able to chip in on two par-5s today, two eagles. Definitely helps out the scorecard a lot, and momentum, too. You know, on both of them I was in pretty good spots, and so to see them go in is definitely very exciting.
But I feel like the par-5s are pretty key here, so hopefully have a good day on them tomorrow.
Q. What was the mindset heading into this morning? Obviously trailing a bit, so needed to make a big move. Was being aggressive part of the game plan?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I was trying to be assertive where I could. I knew the leaders were playing very well, and they're still playing very well. Still a lot of ground to make up, but definitely happy to climb the leaderboard as much as I did today, and just hoping to do something similar tomorrow.
Q. Another chasing day for you tomorrow. Obviously anything can happen. Are you excited about the opportunity to try and climb and chase again tomorrow?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, absolutely. It's very exciting to be back in a good position near the top of the leaderboard. Know there is a lot of ground and work to do, which is kind of exciting. Can just go out and try to be assertive, try to make lots of birdies, and see what happens.
Q. Yeah. Obviously had the great finish at KPMG couple weeks ago. What have you found in your game that's allowing you to play this great style of golf?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better out on the course mentally and physically. I'm back hitting it better too, which is really exciting. I feel like all parts of my game are helping the other one out if one slides a little bit. It's nice to be out there right now, which is cool.
And, yeah, hopefully it's a good day tomorrow.
Q. When you look at the leaderboard, who do you think would be your main contender tomorrow?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I think leaders will be hard to catch because they're both playing very well right now. Haeran having just won a major two weeks ago, obviously her game is very sharp and she knows how to win.
I think she'll have a great day and it will make it tough for all of us. But it'll be fun.
Q. FaceTime with your sister?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I haven't FaceTimed, but I've been talking and texts and lots of photos, which is great.
Q. Have they brightened your day, little photos of your niece?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, definitely. Every day I'm like asking for more photos and just every time they make me smile.
Q. Do you think that uplifted you on the golf course as well?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I definitely think so. It's just such an exciting and wonderful time for my family. I was really fortunate to be able to see her last week and then I'm able to go home next week to see her, too.
It's just a great time.
Q. Sister been giving you any at advice?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, for sure. She's not caddieing for me anymore, but she's always helping me out wherever she can, whether that's swing, putting, course, everything. She's just trying to fill me in on as much as she can and help me to be better.
Q. Just on Evian, the course and the place, how much do you enjoy being here?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I love this place. It's so beautiful. Every year I look forward to coming. Course is definitely a challenge and makes you think the entire time. You can never really take a break.
But just looking over Lake Geneva is very peaceful and calming in such a stressful situation.
Q. A lot of players described it almost like you're playing the tournament, a major, but it's also like a little holiday as well. Have you found that?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, for sure. I mean, I'm staying -- they put me up at really nice hotel and it's just really pretty to sit on my balcony and look out over the water at night. I feel like it's a great way to kind of decompress.
Q. One last thing. Do you feel like your sister is still part of your team in a way?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, absolutely. She helps me all the time.
