Q. Always hate talking to a player after they finish with a bogey, but that doesn't take away from a good day, does it?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: A little bit. During the back-to-back days, it really hurts me a little bit. But today was a good day. And, yeah, just, I mean, hit the worst two ball of the day on 18, unfortunately. But it is what it is, and in a good spot coming into the weekend.

Q. You're coming in here with confidence, winning last week -- and congratulations on that -- and being the defending champion. What was it like coming around here as the defending champion this week?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, it was cool. Nice to be back, and obviously had a great group out there, and we all played pretty good. So that helps move things along.

Yeah, it was good. Still got a ways to go to catch the fan support with Rory and Bob over here. But, yeah, all in all, it's been really fun and nice to be back over here.

Q. I was going to ask you, felt like the bad guy in movies and say Bob in Rory there --

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, yeah, there was a couple more positive for me. But, yeah, it's been fun. I mean, I'm expecting that when I come over here.

So, yeah, it's fun. It's good to be back and kind of relive some things. And, yeah, good start to the weekend. I probably would have taken it if you said you don't have to hit a shot for a couple days and relax. But, yeah, it's been good, and hopefully have a good weekend.

Q. Final thing. Coming off a win and winning five times now on the Tour, champion here, you know what it takes now, right? That's a different mentality, going into the weekend knowing what it's going to take to not only win here but on the PGA TOUR?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, I mean, they're all very hard. But I think I've done a good job lately of just hanging around. And I'm in a good spot to kind of just lurk, and hopefully go play really well and not have to lurk.

As long as I stay like I feel like I'm within distance, that's all you can do, but without going crazy and, you know, trying to play too aggressive or anything. Just take what I'm given and go from there.
