Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Mao Saigo after her second round at the Amundi Evian Championship. Great round from you today. Squarely in contention heading into the weekend. What's been working for you these last two days?
MAO SAIGO: I'm really glad that I could play with bogey-free round. I had pretty long putt or pretty tough par putt, but I think it was great round.
Q. How tough is it to go bogey-free on this course?
MAO SAIGO: I was thinking the important thing is like control, because there is no flat fairway. So I tried to be doing good course management.
Q. A lot of Japanese players we've seen play well at this course. What is it about this course or whatever it may be that allows the Japanese players to play so well?
MAO SAIGO: So this course is not like that much long, but I think the player has a good skill could make a very good round.
So I'm really happy with that.
Q. Last one: What's the key to consistency on this course? We've seen lots of good scores, lots of bad scores. What's the key to consistency, especially as you contend at the top of the leaderboard?
MAO SAIGO: So there is a chance at the long hole, and then it's going to be very competitive getting birdie a lot. Pin position is all matters, so I would like to play very safely and just think about like course management as well, too.
