July 10, 2026

Jeeno Thitikul

Evian-les-Bains, France

Evian Resort Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Jeeno Thitikul after her second round at the Amundi Evian Championship. Phenomenal bogey-free 7-under from you today. Just take us through the round. What worked for you?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I mean, I definitely hit better than yesterday. I mean, like I hit more fairways, I hit more greens, and it's kind of, you know, make me had a lot of more opportunity to, you know, make some putt, more than yesterday.

And then obviously playing par-5 better than yesterday.

Q. What were some of the differences from the round yesterday to today?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think afternoon wave kind of play like harder than the morning, like morning wave a little bit. Because yesterday I think I was hit everything like kind of farther than what I thought. Like my 7-iron normally like 155 -- 165 and then it can go almost like 170 something, which is kind of, you know, a big adjustment.

And then I mean, I hit it better. I mean, that's make a difference.

Q. You mentioned on TV Evian is one of your favorite courses to play. What is it about this course that you love so much?

JEENO THITIKUL: I mean, everything. I love the course, how it looks. I know it's so slopey, but it have room for you to kind of like hit it and then let it help you to get it to the hole or to the spot that you wanted.

And then Lake Geneva (indiscernible.)

Q. Obviously a lot of changes to the course as well. Have you seen the changes come into play over the last two rounds?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yes. I think different, like really different is the 18, No. 18 that we got two bunker in play.

Like I said, the bunker is where we don't want to go anyway, which is -- on 18 you need to go like middle left of the fairway, so the bunker was right. So if you go right, definitely you going to have a same chance as going into the bunker anyway.

Q. How do you find the greens in the heat?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I mean, it's kind of a little weird, bumpy a little bit. I know like they're trying their best to be able to get it away from the heat. I was five -- like today I was at putting green about 5:50, 5:40 and they watering the green, and I was like, now?

And then they watering like 18 green that I saw at that time. Then I think they're just like afraid to get too dry and then we can't be able to play.

Obviously not the best that we can see from Evian Resort, but I know the weather kind of changes a little bit.

Q. You mentioned that you love this course. What about the place itself? Have you had time to spend some actual time around it yet? Is there anything you like?

JEENO THITIKUL: I stay at the city center, like Hilton city center, which is I go out every day eating French of French food, escargot. Last year I went to Lausanne, but this year I about to go but like my friends got a little busy schedule, so then we stay this side.

But I will try and like go and try the crepe again.

Q. Some people describe it like a little holiday. Does it feel like a relaxed environment even though it's a major?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think if you have a really bad day you can jump into the lake, so that's a holiday.

Q. You were aggressive on 18 yesterday. How did you birdie it today, and how did you determine your strategy on that hole?

JEENO THITIKUL: I mean, that tree again. Just kidding. I mean, yesterday I knew that it was like kind of rusty decision that I have to make it, and rather than just laid it up and have a chance for birdies.

But I feel like I do have my confident, which is I don't know, is it confident I'm going to make it over the water. But I think if I can go straight to the green more than that was too right, I think I should be able to be okay on the green, or like my ball can be dry more.

But today hit on the fairway better than yesterday, hit in the rough, so it's make way easier.

Q. Last one: Some of the details on your eagle on seven?

JEENO THITIKUL: It's just no detail. Like I wanted to hit it on the fairway because I know if I hit on the fairway I might have a chance to go two to the green. Even I have to hit 3-woods.

But like it had a chance, because yesterday I miss by a tad bit to the left so I don't have a chance to go to the green. So I had like over 40 feet putt and it just luckily went in.
