GENESIS SCOTTISH OPEN

July 10, 2026

Nicolai Von Dellinghausen

North Berwick, Scotland

The Renaissance Club

Quick Quotes

Q. What do you take away from that?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: Very relaxed to be honest and made some really good decisions into the greens off the tee, holed one or the other momentum putt. Kept it going, really. Chipped in on 14 for eagle, which obviously helped a lot. And yeah, overall, very nice day.

Q. Did you have a sense that you were building on something like this heading into Scotland?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: Kind of, yes. I had a Top-10 in Italy and just had a tough finish in Munich, the home event, and which just denied a Top-10, another one, and kind of feeling at ease with my game and myself, and more myself, to be honest and that just helps me to be more relaxed out here and really enjoy it. It's a nice event and great feel out here and just great players are involved and try to be committed as much as I can.

Q. What do you want to be committed to the rest of the way?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: Just keep on doing what I'm doing. Stay out there, be patient. Just enjoy it.

Q. Well done today. A season-best 64. Talk us through your day.

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: It was a great day out there. Just started off like solid and made a lot of good decisions off the tee into the green. Holed a couple putts that kept the momentum going which was really nice to see. Was just relaxed out there, I have to say.

Yeah, great day.

Q. When you arrived this morning, mobile 1-under after your first round, did you have a sense this kind of round was in your locker, or does birdie the first hole help?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: No, honestly I was nervous. This is the best player, field, that I've played during the year. There are a couple other good names out there. Trying not to took too much into it and playing my own game. Obviously I was nervous. I want to play the weekend here. I want to play well here.

But I kind of got into the groove during the round and that just helped keeping it going.

Q. On being at ease and playing well this week, how do you feel your game is at the moment and where you're at?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: The game is really solid. It has been for a little while. I think it's more that I'm way more at ease with myself and enjoying it again way more. Not putting too much pressure on myself in a sense of trying to force things and force a score but it's more trying to hit golf shots and just see what happens in the end.

Stay patient, and the putts will drop but there's also going to be a bogey in there. That's just golf. The more at ease I am with that, the better I play.

Q. You missed the cut last year. From that experience and your first two days around here, what have you learnt to take into the next two days?

NICOLAI VON DELLINGHAUSEN: I think patience is just the key. It's going to be firm. It's going to be tough. Some pins are going to be tough. So it's just playing it smart, waiting for the opportunities, maybe take advantage here and there. But it's not going to be lights out over the weekend.
