Q. Can you tell us a little bit about your round today? What was the best part?

MAO SAIGO: Today was really good play, but I think iron was good.

Q. Yeah. You want to do in Japanese and then we translate?

MAO SAIGO: Yeah, yeah, okay.

MAO SAIGO: So throughout the round everything was pretty consistent, especially my iron shot was pretty sharp to get close to the hole.

Q. I understand your strategy here is distance is not the goal; it's precision, trying to always be in the right place, no?

MAO SAIGO: Definitely I didn't really feel comfortable over the ball with driver, so lots of times I tried to use woods, like 3-wood. But this course definitely need -- course management is one of the key things here, so I think I did that part very well.

Q. What do you enjoy the most about this golf course? What makes you play well here?

MAO SAIGO: Everything is important, but maybe driver then iron.

Q. Yeah.

MAO SAIGO: Is more important.

Q. So let's talk about not just the golf course but the environment, the tournament.

MAO SAIGO: So first time I came here I played very well, so this tournament I feel really good vibes. I love to be in France. This is one of the only France tournament, so I love to be here.

Q. How do you cope with the heat? Obviously it was cooler this morning when you started but now it's very hot. What was that like?

MAO SAIGO: Yes, definitely every year it gets hotter and hotter here, so from the practice round I tried to like, you know, manage my water, hydration.

Today was kind of okay but tomorrow definitely it's going to be worse, so I will definitely prepare for that, too.
