Q. Here with Jing Yan. Tell me about that round today. Really strong start to another major championship.

JING YAN: Yeah, I was really happy. I felt like I didn't make too many mistakes, which is always nice, and we just had like a really good rhythm going.

Tried to really keep small little targets, especially with some of the more narrow shots out here. You can get into trouble.

Yeah, stick to those things.

Q. What were some of your highlights out there? I know quite a few birdies on the card.

JING YAN: Probably nice little finish with a birdie on 18 was nice. I was in up in the rough on the drive so I wanted to go for it, but my caddie and I decided to just play it safe and ended up making a birdie, so I was happy it worked out.

Q. I know you're with Camper Dan now. How much fun is it to have a guy like that on your bag?

JING YAN: Yeah, absolutely. I think it's great. We have good chemistry and he really has good hold of kind of my emotions and keeping things calm and light out there, which I really enjoy.

He's a cool guy too so you get a lot of the trivia and things like that, which is fun.

Q. Obviously a great start. How do you build on this over the next 54 holes?

JING YAN: I think every day is different. Like there is a different goal at the end of the day. Obviously Sunday, major championship Sunday.

So there is a lot to learn from each and every day because of the different circumstances involved, so really hoping to just try to do my best on each day, yeah.
