Quick Quotes
Q. This is a day where maybe from Scottish perspective wasn't quite as difficult out there. Was this a green light scenario from a strategy perspective for you guys?
BERND WIESBERGER: I don't think you can get it any better than today, beautiful skies and just a little breeze. Some of the pins were tucked away, and difficult to get to. But I was putting really well on the front nine. Might have holed the odd 45-footer or so and maybe a wedge on No. 2. I had a good spell of golf in there, and really happy with the score.
You know, as far as conditions go, I think this is probably the best we can hope for.
Q. You're 40 years of age now, you have a win already on the DP World Tour this year and come here after a third-place finish. Where do you feel like you are in your career?
BERND WIESBERGER: Just starting (laughs.)
No, I'm in a really good place. I had a couple rough years and worked my way through it.
Right now, golf feels really nice and easy, and now I'll take as many rounds that feel like this as I can. I feel like I'm playing good, and got another win under my belt. Like you said, last week I finished high in Munich. Nice and comfortable. Hopefully it doesn't go by too quickly but golf is fun right now.
Q. What the saying is we learn a lot and more from our adversities than our successes. What do you feel like matured you?
BERND WIESBERGER: A lot of things. See which things hopefully did work maybe back in my career, refer back to those a little bit. Things that maybe didn't work. So last few years of reflection, and it's nice to play well after a rough patch. Fortunately I always believed that I had good golf in me and still have going forward.
As I said, I'm playing good golf right now and trying to prolong is as long as I can and just a real pleasure to be here in Scotland on a day like this and play in front of the crowds and show them some good golf.
