THE MODERATOR: All right, very pleased to be joined by our newest major champion, Haeran Ryu. Haeran, how does it feel being introduced as an LPGA major champion?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, it was so happy for me because everybody told me like oh, congrats, major champion, and I said oh, my God. Yeah, it was so happy.
And a lot change for me because before I got a lot of win but my -- two weeks ago my win is a major champion, so a lot of thing change after that.
Q. How has your life changed since becoming a major champion?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, a lot people text me like, come on major champs, and some people like call me. So I feel like little weird right now because it's very short time, so not comfortable right now.
But I hopefully much better feeling later.
Q. How did you celebrate your win and did you do anything in the weeks between this week and your win?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, I go back to Vegas, my home, and I have to really celebrate with my neighbor and neighbor's baby.
Yeah, just baby by next to my home so they come in my house, and my sponsor barbecue me some chicken and flowers a lot, so it's a little celebrate with my family and neighbors.
Q. Bringing it to this week, what have you made of the course and some of the changes they made? They added two bunkers to No. 18. What have you made of that?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, last hole, 18, have to little chance for the eagle or birdie there, but they make some new bunkers on the fairway and certain spots so it's a little bit more make some harder to make -- keep the fairway because that fairway looks like little narrow.
But they make some -- the spectate area to make some bunker there, so everybody a little bit more hard make some -- keep the fairway. So that's why. I think they're smart.
Q. And last one from me: How did it feel coming to a different major, competing, and now preparing as a major champion?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, every major golf course is too hard and so different. Like the Hazeltine is little more windy and the rough is more sticky and just by next to the river.
So that's why little windy there.
But here is more a lot of slope and green is small and so I think just another major championship, so I just preparing for little different golf. I think so.
Q. So two weeks later, no? When you look back, what would be the best memories or the bigger memories that you have of the week in Hazeltine and that Sunday?
HAERAN RYU: I think champagne shower on the last hole. I just thankful all the players. A lot players waiting for me on hole 18 and Somi told me, hey, I waiting for over an hour. I'm so thank you. So I'm so happy after my champion putt and there are a lot of champagne showers for me.
So, yeah, it was so happy memory for me, yeah.
Q. You were talking about changes, things that have changed for you. What are the things that make you more happy and what are the things that are more difficult of those changes?
HAERAN RYU: I think everything going to be good, because every major championship is more thinking, more sensitive and more thinking harder, so always I got a more stressful on the major week.
But after the major winning, and I feels like more free and is less stressful for me.
Q. So can you visualize a champagne shower here on Sunday? How much do you like the smell of champagne, no?
HAERAN RYU: Maybe. I can say just hope.
