Quick Quotes
Q. Justin Carlock, 2-under par today, 6-under par total. Justin, talk about how today's round went for you.
JUSTIN CARLOCK: It was definitely more of a grind than I wanted it to be. I had a couple really good looks at birdie that I just didn't capitalize on. Made a pretty bad bogey on 3, and that's a birdie hole for us this week. That felt like it was a tiny bit of a setback.
Finished strong at the end. I made three birdies coming in my last five holes today, so battled back, I felt like, the best we could.
Q. What do you feel like were some key differences between yesterday's round and today's?
JUSTIN CARLOCK: That's a good question. It was pretty similar. Honestly, it really was pretty similar. Very similar mindset, just a kind of go get 'em the best you can attitude.
There's always adversity in every round of golf. So kind of accepting that going into a round, if you have that mindset, I feel like it helps when some adversity starts to pop up.
And knowing this is a tough golf tournament. Everyone is trying their best. It's not like we're hitting bad shots on purpose. So just trying to stay tough.
Q. You're making your debut. Coming into this championship, did you look at the names of Kipp Popert, Brendan Lawlor? What was your take on playing some some of those players?
JUSTIN CARLOCK: Yeah, what a treat to do that. Once I got certified to qualify for this championship, absolutely, you're looking, seeing past scores. You're going who's the best of the best? Who are we looking out for? And trying to just see what everybody else is doing.
Kipp and Brendan, they're unbelievably good golfers. To be in the mix with all these guys right now, I'm thrilled.
Q. Going into this championship, what was your overall goal? Now seeing you're close to the the top, you are at the top, have your goals shifted?
JUSTIN CARLOCK: No, I want to win. That's a beautiful trophy. I want it bad.
