Quick Quotes

Q. We are here with Kipp Popert, a 67, tied for the lowest round of the week. What was working well in your game today?

KIPP POPERT: To be honest, everything worked pretty well. I was 3-under through the front nine, I think, and then I was trying to get to 10. I hit so many good shots into the green. I feel like I actually hit it better than I did when I shot 11-under. I hit so many good putts, and I hit so many edges.

Yeah, I mean, it's weird. I'm really pleased with how I've played the last couple days, really pleased with how composed I've been at times. Yeah, it would have been nice to be a bit more under. Look, I'm very happy with the 5-under.

Q. Familiar place atop the leaderboard obviously going into the last round. How do you kind of keep that momentum, that fire to keep performing well in this?

KIPP POPERT: Well, this is our major. I don't think I need to explain that. I think anyone that knows me, this is why I've practiced and played my whole life.

It wasn't around when I was a kid. But for whatever reason, I just wanted to be really, really good at this game and play under pressure and win tournaments. I don't struggle with motivation. I don't struggle with practicing.

I'm just really looking forward to tomorrow. Yeah, I'm excited to get going. I do need a bit of food now, though.
