Quick Quotes
Q. We are here with Kim Moore, second round of 76 today, but you find yourself in a familiar place kind of atop the leaderboard. What's been working well?
KIM MOORE: I've been having good front nines. That's been good for me, starting off strong, not finishing the best. I wish I would finish a little bit better both nines so far.
I guess that's golf, and you have to be able to manage, and you have to be able to scramble sometimes and try to get those pars or save bogeys. I think I did a decent job of that today, especially on that back just trying to finish strong as I could.
Yeah, overall I think it's just keeping it in the fairway, keeping it in play and just giving myself the best chance to hit the greens.
Q. You struggled a little bit on the back nine, like you said, but how important was that birdie on No. 8, your 17th hole?
KIM MOORE: It's huge. I was trying to at least hopefully beat my score from yesterday but didn't hit a very good approach shot into 18 -- my 18. Yeah, I guess that's golf. I was able to at least save a bogey. There's always tomorrow. So hopefully I can put two rounds together or two nines together.
Q. Having played in this every year so far, obviously done really well, what does this week mean to you each year?
KIM MOORE: It's so special. It's something I look forward to every year. I'm excited to be here every year. Just being able to see my family, my friends, playing some competitive golf. We always bring the world's best here.
It's fun to compete against those players. It's great seeing the young talent out here. It's great seeing the new women that I've met. There's a few new faces, which is great, that always -- it keeps getting bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger every year.
I'm just excited to see that. Every year this is on the calendar, and I'm looking forward to playing in it. Just trying to do my best and compete the best I can.
Q. To wrap up, it looks like it will be potentially a close finish tomorrow. How do you lean on your experience in that close battle?
KIM MOORE: I think that's going to be huge for me. Last year I was down going into the last round and able to play a pretty good round to finish. I'm hoping I can still do that and just stay in it.
It's nice. I always like playing with my competition. So that can motivate me. I know what I have to do. I know what I have to compete with.
Yeah, I just need to keep doing the same thing, hitting the fairways, hitting the greens, trying to make putts when I can and trying to limit big numbers. If I can do that, I think I'll work do very well.
