U.S. ADAPTIVE OPEN

July 5, 2026

Chaz Bowker

Rockville, Maryland, USA

Woodmont Country Club (South Course)

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Here with Chazzy. Chazzy, let's talk about last year. You finished third overall in the category; 20th overall in the championship. What kind of goals do you have set for yourself this week and what would make a successful championship for you?

CHAZ BOWKER: To start with that is just drive and be thankful for where I'm at. Last year I kind of was all hyped knowing I'm coming up and rising, and this year I'm really taking the focus to mentally prepare and keep myself in the right mind spot.

Q. And I watched you hit a few shots on the range yesterday. You're absolutely striking it. How have you prepared for this championship and what are your confidence levels at?

CHAZ BOWKER: Just being back home with all my boys that are great golfers and they're challenging me, I'm challenging them, we have a good fight back home. All the guys. I'm really thankful for Callaway stepping in and helping me build the clubs and equipment that I'm using now to find the right swing.

Q. Where do you feel you've improved your game the most in the past year and how does that help you out?

CHAZ BOWKER: Putting. My putting, really been focusing on that. Especially throwing it back to the Internet Invitational last year where I made two putts for $24,000. It shows putted something what's key. If the ball doesn't go in the hole you're not winning.

So make sure you practice putting and finish the day.

Q. Speaking of the Internet Invitational, have any of your friends or other creators reached out this week to wish you luck?

CHAZ BOWKER: Yeah, a lot of people, all the guys. My good buddy Josh Kelly is on his way here. Going to be on the bag this week. And then all the guys at Barstool, Bob Does Sports, I want to thank them. Robby Berger personally messaged me himself and said, Chaz, play well this week. Same with the Bryan Bros.

Q. With your platform on social media, how do you feel your role in changing adaptive golf changed in the past couple years?

CHAZ BOWKER: It's really inspiring, being able to be the face of cameras and being able to sew awareness for adaptive golf not only on but off the golf course. You got to have a good mentality to leave the front door. The day you leave the front door so many more doors are opening. So just get on the golf course, have fun, and be you.

Back in the day everybody got bullied on for their disabilities. Now you're the one bullying the golf courses, so get out there and do it.

Q. I know you had some fun pairings yesterday and today. Any fun conversations or memories that kind of stand out?

CHAZ BOWKER: Definitely with Jimmy the Kid out in North Carolina for his first Callaway shoot with us. I was able to spend a lot time with him. Just being able to talk adaptive golf with another creator is awesome.

Q. Awesome. I know you're throwing on a lot of great outfits lately. Do you want to talk about some of that stuff and has it been fun being almost like a fashion influencer?

CHAZ BOWKER: Yeah, it's been great being able to work with Rhoback and all that team, Will, Shea, and Pete. Man, those guys are all. Every time we have a shoot it's fun.

And then for them being able to make clothes in my size and putting their full support into me, I cannot thank them enough.
