Quick Quotes
Q. You had the double bogey on 8 yesterday but birdied it today. What adjustments did you make to make it a three-shot swing?
PAUL STANKOWSKI: Well, it started with a good tee ball, unlike yesterday. I drove it down the middle and had a great number and hit a good 5-iron in there to about three feet. I told Josh I had most improved tee ball and then most improved second shot. Yeah, so it was good.
Q. The U.S. Senior Open traditionally pushes players to their limits both physically and mentally and especially with the heat. What do you have to do tonight to recharge yourself for the best opportunity going into tomorrow?
PAUL STANKOWSKI: We're going to continue to hydrate, have a good meal. It's not necessarily drinking when you're on the course. It's also drinking in the morning and making sure you get the electrolytes in there. It is a grind.
But I like these kind of days. I like these kind of tournaments that you've got to fight for everything. The birdie-fests, they're fun, but these are more fun just because it's a challenge. We're a bunch of old guys out here still getting the ball around. Trying to maintain perspective and see if we can get it in.
Q. What number do you think it'll take to give yourself a legit shot for Sunday?
PAUL STANKOWSKI: You know, I don't even know what's leading. I think at one time I saw he was 9-under. I'm assuming that George is -- he's hitting it really well. Double digits. I know they're going to test us tomorrow, but if we get some rain, the golf course softens up a little bit, I still think that minimum double digits are -- I don't even know what I'm at, 3-under, 4-under, 3-under I think? I need a low one.
But I'm not concerned with that. I'm just going to go out there and continue to hit my spots and add them up.
