Q. Low round of the week here so far at the U.S. Senior Open in these conditions, Darren Clarke. How did you put a 64 together today? Tell us.

DARREN CLARKE: I think my hitting (indiscernible.) Didn't it? I don't know, Cara. I played poorly. Hit the ball very poorly for the first two rounds and was just grinding it out, and then sort of figured something out last night.

Spine angle was tilting too much, using my hands too much, so got more on top of it and hit the ball a lot better.

Q. Well, it seemed to pay off.

DARREN CLARKE: It did.

Q. I just spoke to Ian Poulter. He said he had a great time with you the first couple of days.

DARREN CLARKE: Yeah, yeah.

Q. Nice to see some of them back in the field.

DARREN CLARKE: Yeah.

Q. What is it like to be here, a course with so much history with Jack Nicklaus?

DARREN CLARKE: Yeah, I mean, the golf course this week, Cara, has been unbelievable. I mean, it really has. The USGA has done a wonderful job giving us the test they have.

I wasn't old enough to play the last time we were here, so it's been my first trip here. I am staying-- there is a member here called Jim White and he's also a member down at Abaco, and he give us his house 30 seconds away. It's just been the most wonderful week. I mean, the golf course is just sensational.

Q. Three-under par six back heading into the final round right now. We'll see how the leaders finish. How do you approach the final round tomorrow?

DARREN CLARKE: Well, I think if you take a look at the guys in front of me, they're all champions. They're all proper, proper players, so I'm going to have to go even go lower tomorrow again. I'm just pleased I hit the ball better than I had the first two days. I played with, as you said there were Poults and Miguel, like European Tour revisited again the first two rounds and just didn't hit it very well.

It's just nice to strike the ball well and give myself a few chances and shoot a good score.
