Quick Quotes
Q. 5-under. You're going to go into tomorrow right in the mix for the second time in three weeks. Just how did the round feel today?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it felt good. It felt like everything was going right in the beginning. Then maybe hit a few putts too hard, but made some good come-backers. I feel like my game is in a really good spot for tomorrow.
Q. I think there was an expectation of a bit for some lower scores today, especially with the weather this morning. What were you seeing out on the course?
JACKSON SUBER: I mean, it was pretty scorable in the beginning, but then even with it being very soft, it was like the way the wind was playing and the holes that were into the wind, it really didn't make it. It wasn't a birdie-fest out there, especially after the first five holes.
Q. Just after a couple of weeks ago at RBC, you stacked those three rounds, and then you weren't able to do much on Sunday. How important was that experience coming into tomorrow knowing that you are right in the mix for that first win?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, for sure. I've put myself in contention now through two rounds at Houston, RBC, and the Byron this year. Just building a lot from those experiences and being patient and knowing if I keep doing what I'm doing and learning from those, it's going to work out for me.
Q. Do you feel like there's any kind of edge knowing that you are hunting your first and so you have that hunger to try to get that first win?
JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, for sure. I mean, I don't think the edge ever stops. Not having a pro win, I'm not sure to answer that yet, but I feel like everybody wants to win out here just as much as they can.
Q. Just the way everything played out today, the past three days, what do you think it's going to take tomorrow to get it done?
JACKSON SUBER: It's going to take rest and patience from me tonight.
