JOHN DEERE CLASSIC

July 4, 2026

Zac Blair

Silvis, Illinois, USA

TPC Deere Run

Quick Quotes

Q. Zac, you were scorching on that front with that 29. I guess, just to start, how are you feeling on that front nine and then what happened on the back to kind of tame it down a little bit?

ZAC BLAIR: Yeah, yeah, did a lot of good stuff. You know, was driving it a little better on the front. Kind of struggled a little bit on the back.

But, yeah, just was hitting a bunch of good shots, making some putts. Then on the back just kind of hit a couple of bad tee balls and was a little more of a grind.

Q. Do you feel like that double just kind of threw you off maybe, especially off the tee and kind of set that back nine tone?

ZAC BLAIR: Not really, because I hit some go ahead shots after. I hit a couple of good shots after that and made the birdie on 14 or whatever. Just kind of, you know -- just barely missed a bunch of putts. Had a few bad tee balls that put me kind of behind the 8-ball a little bit. You know, it was a good day all in all.

Q. Then just right there on those last two, you're in good position before that delay hits. Do you feel like that had anything to do to kind of mess up that momentum you might have had going?

ZAC BLAIR: Not really. You know, we got to warm up and everything like that. Just hit a couple of bad shots. Just barely missed a few putts.

Q. All things considered still, you're one off the lead going into Sunday looking for that win. What's that mindset going into attack that?

ZAC BLAIR: You know, you have to play well, so looking forward to it. Been doing a pretty good job the whole week. Be nice to have a good one tomorrow.

Q. How much different did the course play today compared to Thursday and Friday?

ZAC BLAIR: Not a ton, honestly. I think it handled the big storms last night pretty well. We were obviously playing lift, clean, and place, but I didn't feel like I had a ton of holes where I had mud or anything like that.

You're still getting a little bit of run out in the fairways and stuff like that. The greens have been pretty soft all week, so it didn't play that much different I think.

Q. With the lift, clean, and place opportunity today, surprised that scores weren't a little lower or not?

ZAC BLAIR: I think now that it's a score card, you know, it's a little, like, harder to really take advantage of lies and stuff like that. Yeah, I mean, maybe a little surprised that they weren't a lot lower today, but yeah.
