Q. Solid round today, Blades. What was working for you out there?

BLADES BROWN: Yeah, I'm just trying to hit as many good shots as I can. With the greens as pure as they can be here at TPC Deere Run, putts are going in, and everything is pure.

Yeah, I'm just focused on executing shots that I know I can execute, and yeah, should be fun.

Q. Getting to play with Preston three days in a row now, what has that been like playing three rounds in a row together?

BLADES BROWN: Yeah, I think Preston is, what, 20, 21 maybe. I think he's the No. 1 ranked amateur in the world now, and he is unbelievable. I mean, he hits it so far off the tee, putts the lights out of it. His short game is awesome as well. I was walking down 18 with Brett, and I was, like, man, this guy is the real deal.

It was really fun to play with Preston three days in a row, so that was pretty cool. Missed the putt on 18 to, unfortunately, not get paired with him tomorrow. Yeah, I'm really excited to play with him in the future.

Q. If there's anything you're looking to work on tomorrow to potentially go low again and get into contention, what would it be?

BLADES BROWN: Yeah, there's a lot of golf to play. I know I'm -- I don't know exactly what the lead is at right now, but there are a lot of birdies out there. There's 18 holes left. This golf course is really good, and I'm excited for tomorrow.

Q. You know low scores are out there. Do you have in your mind tomorrow of a number?

BLADES BROWN: Yeah, absolutely, but for me the recipe to have low scores is to just execute one shot at a time.

Q. It's the 4th of July, America 250. Everyone is decked out in red, white, and blue. How fun is playing on a holiday like this?

BLADES BROWN: It's so cool. 4th of July is a very patriotic day for USA. I think it's the 250th year or anniversary of my country, so it's pretty cool to be able to represent red, white, and blue and get to play a golf tournament at the same time. So it's pretty cool.
