Q. That was an unbelievable shot there to save par on 18. Can you please walk me through that shot and your thought process?

TIM PETROVIC: Yeah, not the place you want to be. A long bunker shot, and then it kind of went into the bunker hard and hit the back lip and came up and then half buried.

Actually, with the back pin that actually made it easy for me to run the ball across the green. It was still a hard shot. I knew it wasn't going to spin. So I just kind of chunked the ball out and tried to get it to within 135 feet.

Of course I make a par putt. I had a lot of birdie opportunities. I hit some really good shots today. Unfortunately, I left myself some downhill putts. But overall, I think pars are good here. If you make a par and walk away, just keep hitting greens and take your birdies when you get them.

Q. Perfect. In the past you've finished close to the top finishers before. How do those experiences, you think, help you this week and into the weekend as well?

TIM PETROVIC: I think I've been nipped by a shot or two in all the majors. So I guess I could have had three or four of them by now.

Yeah, coming down the stretch and knowing you have a chance to win, yeah, that will help you for sure on Sunday. Yeah, you can't buy experience. You got to put yourself in that position and see how you react. The more times you do it, one of these times it will come through for you.
