U.S. SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

July 3, 2026

Miguel Angel Jimenez

Columbus, Ohio, USA

Scioto Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Miguel, you had kind of a wild back nine. There were a lot of up-and-downs. Can you walk me through that?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: There two up-and-down and I had two bogeys. I played very solid and left myself with a lot of chances for birdie, also chance for eagle on No. 6.

Make a bogey on hole No. 5, but I miss just short on the right, on the rough, and make a bogey. And then I make another bogey on the 8th but I miss on the left. Missed the fairways today. (Indiscernible) had to lay down with a lob wedge and 8-iron and two-putt.

The rest was very nice, very solid round. 68, 2-under par, four birdies, two bogeys. It was solid.

Q. You've been through this so many times when you're in a hunt for a major championship, even at the U.S. Open level. How do you prepare yourself mentally for what's going to happen this weekend?

MIGUEL ANGEL JIMENEZ: Well, I don't know. I just going to have the same feeling. I'm going to have dinner with my wife, have a cigar, and then (indiscernible) if can do it, okay, I'm enjoy. That's the main thing.
