JOHN DEERE CLASSIC

July 3, 2026

Jackson Suber

Silvis, Illinois, USA

TPC Deere Run

Quick Quotes

Q. Jackson, great round, 64. How did you feel today?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, great. I felt like I really played well yesterday and kind of didn't get a lot out of my round. Didn't have a great day on the greens, but today I just kind of felt in control over all, and everything seemed to go my way.

Q. Is there anything in particular that you kind of thought you found that -- any way that helped you find your way to score easier today?

JACKSON SUBER: The wind definitely died down. It was pretty tough in the afternoon yesterday. At the beginning of the afternoon it was pretty windy. The wind died down and then kind of picked up when that storm rolled through in the middle of the round. Then it was pretty scorable most of the day.

Q. Jackson, missed the cut in your first start here last year. Was there anything coming into this week that you did differently approach-wise or just how you viewed the course?

JACKSON SUBER: Not really. It helped to know the course. I was able to take Monday off, having played here before, so that helped getting rest. It's always a long week here. It's not the easiest walk. The conditions are pretty hot this week. Definitely helped to get that rest, and I've been here before.

Q. In the middle of a pretty good stretch coming off a good week last week at the Travelers, how is your confidence in your game right now, and how much did that contribute to your start this weekend so far?

JACKSON SUBER: Good. It honestly started to come together in Houston and Valero this year, and since Myrtle Beach I've been playing really well. Just feels good, but definitely going to be excited to have a week off next week before the Open.

Q. Don't know what the guys in the afternoon are going to do, but you're going to be right at the top. What's your mentality going into Saturday knowing you've got a really good chance at this thing?

JACKSON SUBER: Get a lot of rest, just knowing that rest is important here and that my game is in a good spot. So not going to overpractice and just stay rested.
